Як підкреслили в Білому домі, це фото Всесвіту в інфрачервоному діапазоні з найвищою роздільною здатністю з будь-коли зроблених.
Байден назвав оприлюднення знімків історичним моментом. „Це – нове вікно в історію нашого Всесвіту”, – зазначив він.

Перше повноколірне зображення James Webb є найглибшим і найчіткішим інфрачервоним зображенням далекого Всесвіту на сьогодні, повідомили в NASA.
