 Як пише The Independent, Путін у формі пеніса зобразили на знак протесту проти російської агресії. Перехожим роздавали яйця, якими можна було кидати у скульптуру.
 Автор проекту заявив ЗМІ, що планує продавати мініатюри „путінів”, а виручені кошти передавати українським біженцям. Скульптуру створили за два-три тижні.
