Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök bejelentette, hogy a katonai vezetést utasította, hozzon létre tartalékállományt, hogy a fronton harcoló katonák visszaállíthassák erőiket a csaták után – közölte az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportálaz államfő és Boris Johnson volt brit miniszterelnök a kijevi Tarasz Sevcsenko Nemzeti Egyetem hallgatóival és tanáraival vasárnap folytatott beszélgetésen.
A jelentés szerint Zelenszkij az ukrán hadsereg legénységi állományának feltöltésével kapcsolatos kérdésre válaszolva elmondta, hogy a katonai vezetés feladata tartalékok létrehozása, hogy a védők a harcok után vissza tudják állítani az erőiket. „Mert különböző okok miatt nehéz, így mind a sebesülések, mind a pszichés állapot miatt. Ennek normálisnak kell lennie” – hangsúlyozta.
Az elnök megjegyezte, a mozgósítási folyamatok részleteit nem árulhatja el, de a főparancsnok vezérkara meghozta az ezzel kapcsolatos döntéseket, a parancsnokok most dolgoznak a területükön történő megvalósításon. Mint megjegyezte, az ukrán hadsereg legfontosabb erőforrása a személyi állomány, amelyet meg kell védeni. „Az emberek nemcsak fontosak, hanem a legfontosabbak” – nyugtatta meg az ukrán lakosságot Volodimir Zelenszkij.
