 Mint Andrij Szmolij közéleti személyiség és politikai szakértő a hírportálnak beszámolt róla, a Dzsura ifjúsági klub közzétette a válaszlevelet, amit az orosz nyelv iskolai oktatásával kapcsolatos, július 22-én elküldött érdeklődése nyomán kapott a KMDA oktatási főosztályától.  Ebben a fővárosi tanügyi hivatal azt közölte, hogy a 2022–2023-as iskolai tanterv „nem írja elő a tantárgyak orosz nyelvű oktatását, és az orosz nyelv tanulása nem kötelező”.
  
 
 Szmolij aktivista megígérte, hogy szoros figyelemmel fogja követni a fejleményeket. Mint jelezte, „remélem, hogy így lesz. Szeptember 1-től figyelemmel kísérjük a helyzetet.”
 A hírportál emlékeztetett rá, hogy ősztől Lemberg, Zsitomir és Mikolajiv iskoláiban is be lesz tiltva az orosz nyelv. Tarasz Kreminy államnyelvvédelmi biztos ugyanakkor korábban kijelentette, hogy a gyerekek tanulhatnak oroszul az iskolában, ha a szüleik orosz nemzetiségűeknek tartják magukat, és ezt kérik.
