Az Oroszország által annektált Krímen a Bilogorszki-víztározó a kiszáradás küszöbén áll. Fennáll a veszélye annak, hogy ősszel elfogy a benne lévő víz, közölte Resad Memetov, a Szabad Krím mozgalom aktivistája a „Krím. Valóság”-nak adott kommentárjában.
Júliusban a Bilogorszki-víztározó állapota jelentősen megromlott, az őt tápláló Bijuk-Karaszu folyó patakká zsugorodott. A víztározó középső része szintén kiszáradt, így csak egy kis része maradt meg a gát közelében. A helyi lakosok szerint ilyen alacsony vízszint még sohasem volt ebben az évszakban. Resad Memetov aktivista megjegyezte, hogy a helyzet nagyon aggasztó, mivel a rezervoár a kiszáradás küszöbén áll, ami azt jelenti, hogy ezzel együtt az évtizedek óta kialakult növény- és állatvilág is megsemmisül. Elmondása szerint ezen a héten vízellátó rendszert telepítettek a Tagani-víztározótól a Szimferopol irányában. „Azaz az utolsó vízcseppeket elveszik a krími főváros szükségleteinek kielégítésére. Tehát ősszel minden esélyünk van arra, hogy a történelem során először látjuk kiszáradva mind a Bilogorszki, mind a szomszédos Tajgan-víztározót” – jegyezte meg Memetov.
