Mint írták, az ukrán katonákat AS90 típusú, 155 milliméteres önjáró lövegekre képzik ki a britek. A programban több mint 1000 brit katonai személy biztosít kiképzést az ukrán fegyvereseknek.

A világ legnagyobb négynapos munkahét-kísérletét tartották az Egyesült Királyságban. Az abban részt vevő vállalatok túlnyomó többsége az új munkarend alkalmazása mellett döntött, az eredmény azt bizonyítja, hogy a négynapos hét az egész brit gazdaságban működhet.
A hathónapos kísérletben részt vevő 61 vállalat közül 56 hosszabbította meg a négynapos hetet, ebből 18 állandóvá tette azt – írja a Guardian.
Az eredményeket kedden mutatják be a parlamenti képviselőknek annak a kezdeményezésnek a részeként, amely arra ösztönzi a politikusokat, hogy az országban minden munkavállaló számára 32 órás hetet vezessenek be.
Joe Ryle, a 4 napos munkahét kampányának vezetője „nagy áttörésnek” nevezte a kísérletet. „A legkülönbözőbb ágazatokban a dolgozók jóléte drámai mértékben javult, és az üzleti termelékenység szinte minden esetben megmaradt vagy javult. Nagyon elégedettek vagyunk az eredményekkel, és remélhetőleg ez azt mutatja, hogy eljött az ideje a négynapos hét szélesebb körű bevezetésének” – mondta.
Összesen mintegy 2900 alkalmazott vett részt a kísérleti programban az Egyesült Királyságban. Az alkalmazottak körében végzett felmérések szerint 39%-uk azt mondta, hogy kevésbé stresszes, 40%-uk jobban alszik, 54%-uk pedig azt, hogy könnyebb összeegyeztetni a munkahelyi és otthoni feladatait.
A betegszabadságra kivett napok száma mintegy kétharmadával csökkent, és 57%-kal kevesebb alkalmazott hagyta el a cégeket az egy évvel korábbi azonos időszakhoz képest.
A sheffieldi székhelyű Rivelin Roboticsnál, amely egyike a kísérletben résztvevő cégeknek, az új munkarend folytatását tervezik. A vállalat olyan robotokat gyárt, amelyek aprólékosan befejezik a 3D-nyomtatott alkatrészeket a gyártók számára. A kollégákkal konzultálva úgy döntöttek, hogy a pénteki napokat kiveszik, és a hét többi napján 8-tól 17.30-ig meghosszabbítják a munkanapot.
David Mason, a termékért felelős vezető azt mondta, reméli, hogy a rövidebb munkahét felajánlása segíteni fogja a jövőbeli munkaerő-toborzást. „Ez mindenképpen valami olyasmi, ami egy kicsit megkülönböztet minket az átlagtól.”
A brit kísérleti projekt tavaly júniusban indul. Az Új-Zélandon alapított 4 Day Week Global nonprofit szervezet támogatta, amelyet az Autonomy nevű agytröszt és egy akadémikusokból álló csapat felügyel. A kísérletben részt vevő vállalatoknak workshopokat és mentorálást kínáltak, hogy segítsék őket a munkamódszerek újragondolásában. Az alkalmazottaknak lehetőséget nyújtottak arra, hogy a jelenlegi fizetésükön maradva, öt helyett négy napot dolgozzanak.
Franciaországban is próbálkoznak a négynapos munkahét bevezetésével. Pikárdiában fogják elsőként tesztelni a négynapos munkahetet a közszférában.
Magyarországon is egyre több vállalkozás kacérkodik a négynapos munkahéttel, annak fogadtatása azonban változó.

Jövőre az Egyesült Királyságban rendezik meg az Eurovíziós Dalfesztivált – adta hírül a BBC, miután sikerrel zárultak az erről szóló tárgyalások közte és az Európai Műsorszolgáltatók Szövetsége (EBU) között.
Az országot még a múlt hónapban kérte fel a rendezésére az EBU, miután úgy döntött, hogy a versenyt a háború miatt nem lehet Ukrajnában megszervezni. Ukrajna azzal nyerte el a rendezés lehetőségét, hogy a dalverseny idei kiadását az ukrán Kalush Orchestra nyerte meg a Stefania című dalával.
A zenekar elárverezte a győzelemért kapott trófeát, amely 900 ezer dollárért kelt el. A pénzből három ukrán gyártmányú PD-2-es drónt vásároltak az ukrán hadseregnek.
Az még nem derült ki, hogy melyik brit város lesz a házigazda, a rendezés jogáért többek között Glasgow és Manchester is pályázni tervez. A nyertes helyszínnek körülbelül 10 ezer néző befogadására alkalmasnak és nemzetközi repülőtéren könnyen megközelíthetőnek kell lennie, valamint legalább 2000 küldött, újságíró és néző számára kell szállodai elhelyezést biztosítania.

London azt fontolgatja, hogy szuverén garanciákat nyújt az ukrán gabonát exportáló hajók biztosítására. Az aknamentesítési segítséggel kapcsolatos kérdésekre is pozitívan válaszolt.

Az Egyesült Királyság Nemzeti Bűnüldözési Ügynökségének (NCA) kiberbiztonsággal foglalkozó egysége kénytelen most annak érdekében lépéseket tenni, hogy a terheléses, avagy DDoS támadások ne akadályozhassák a tanulást.
Egy friss kutatás ugyanis arra világított rá, hogy a gyerekek (már 9 éves kortól) egyre többször indítanak iskolájuk hálózata, weblapja és egyéb szolgáltatásai ellen DDoS támadást. A járvány alatt jelentősen megnőtt a regisztrált esetek száma, ami a távoktatást tette az általánosnál is nehezebbé.
A Cyber Choices kampány keretében vizsgálják a kiberbűnözéshez kapcsolódó kereséseket az iskolai számítógépeken, és figyelmeztetik, segítő anyagokkal edukálják a diákokat a támadások hatásairól, büntetőjogi következményeiről. Ennek következményeképp azokon a helyeken, ahol már tesztelték a programot, valóban csökkent a DDoS-hoz kapcsolódó keresések száma.
Egyelőre 2000 általános- és középiskolára terjesztik ki, de ez csak a következő lépés, a jövőben egyre több és több intézményben igyekeznek majd elrettenteni a fiatalokat a kiberbűnözéstől.
