A bejelentés nem sokkal azután érkezett, hogy kiderült, szivárgást találtak az Artemis hidrogéntartályában. A probléma akkor derült ki, amikor feltöltötték a rakétákat a hajtóanyagokkal.

A NASA szerint több módszert is megpróbáltak a szivárgás megszüntetésére, de egyik sem sikerült.

A rossz időjárási körülmények miatt egy nappal elhalasztja a SpaceX űrkutatási magánvállalat Crew Dragon űrhajójának startját a Nemzetközi Űrállomáshoz (ISS) az amerikai űrhivatal, a NASA.
James Bridenstine, a NASA igazgatója egy pénteki Twitter-üzenetben azt írta, hogy a Crew-1 indítását november 14-ről áttették 15-re. Az üzenetben nem volt szó arról, hogy az űrhajó mennyi idő alatt éri el az ISS-t.
A fedélzeten négy űrhajós – három amerikai, Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover és Shannon Walker, valamint a japán Szoicsi Nogucsi – tartózkodik majd. A Nemzetközi Űrállomáson jelenleg Szergej Rizsikov és Szergej Kudj-Szvercskov orosz, illetve Kate Rubins amerikai asztronauta dolgozik.
Az Elon Musk üzletember SpaceX magánvállalata által kifejlesztett Crew Dragon űrkapszula idén májusban indult először az űrbe két amerikai veterán asztronautával, Robert Behnkennel és Douglas Hurley-vel. Az űreszköz automata üzemmódban egy nap alatt ért el a Nemzetközi Űrállomáshoz.
Ez volt az első alkalom az amerikai űrhajózás történetében, hogy a NASA magáncéggel együttműködve indított űrexpedíciót. Az űrsiklók „nyugdíjaztatása” óta, az elmúlt kilenc évben az amerikai asztronauták orosz űrhajókkal jutottak el az ISS-re.

Szombaton, magyar idő szerint 21 óra 22 perckor elindult a SpaceX Crew Dragon űrhajó. Két utasával a Nemzetközi Űrállomásra tart.

Két amerikai űrhajóssal, Bob Behnkennel és Doug Hurley-vel a
fedélzetén sikeresen elstartolt a Space X Dragon Crew űrhajója a Nemzetközi
Űrállomásra, az újrahasznosítható kilövőegység pedig épségben visszatért az „I
still love you” drónhajóra.
A szerdai, kedvezőtlen időjárás miatt meghiúsult kilövés
után az egész világ lélegzetvisszafojtva figyelte, visszanyeri-e az Egyesült
Államok egyértelmű vezető pozícióját az űrkutatásban.
A kilövés nagy siker az amerikai űriparnak, amely kilenc
évig, az űrsiklóprogram vége óta csak az orosz Szojuzok segítségével tudott
legénységet küldeni a Nemzetközi Űrállomásra.
Történelmi a Dragon Crew kilövése azért is, mert ez az első
olyan kereskedelmi űrutazás, amelynek során a NASA magáncégek – a Space X és a
Boeing – által fejlesztett rakétát és űrhajót vett igénybe.
A Crew Dragon űrkapszula magyar idő szerint vasárnap délután
kapcsolódik össze a Nemzetközi Űrállomással.
