Az egyik európai ország olyan légvédelmi rendszert küldött Ukrajnának, ami végül nem működött, ezért „újra és újra” változtatni kellett – közölte szerdán Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök az Associated Press amerikai hírügynökségnek adott interjújában, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint az ukrán elnök nem árulta el, melyik országról van szó. Ugyanakkor üdvözölte a partnerországok segítségét, de megjegyezte, hogy a megígért fegyverek egy részét még mindig nem szállították le.
„Nagyszerű megoldásaink vannak a Patriot rendszerek számára, de még nincsenek nálunk” – mondta az államfő. Január óta az ukrán katonákat az Egyesült Államokban képezték a Patriot rendszer működtetésére, de Ukrajnában azt még nem vetették be. „Ukrajnának 20 Patriot ütegre van szüksége, hogy megvédje magát az orosz rakéták ellen, és még ez sem elég, hiszen a világon egyetlen országot sem támadtak ennyi ballisztikus rakétával” – mutatott rá Volodimir Zelenszkij.
