A hatalmas méretű állatvándorlás a fő nevezetessége a világ egyik legszebb és leggazdagabb szabadtéri állatkertjének, a Serengeti Nemzeti Parknak. A 15 000 négyzetkilométernyi terület Tanzániában fekszik, a kenyai határ mentén, a Viktória-tó mellett.
Mire május végére kiszáradnak a gyepek, az állatok hatalmas vándorutat megtéve a nedvesebb területekre érkeznek, ahol még ivóvizet és füvet találnak. Gnúk, antilopok, zsiráfok, zebrák, elefántok, hosszú sorokba rendeződve vonulnak nyugat felé. Őket követik a ragadozók, majd a dögevők. A látványos állatmozgás aztán novemberben, az esős időszak beálltával visszafelé indul.

— Bangkok Post (@BangkokPostNews) March 13, 2023Egy brazil vállalat különleges, napelemes hűtőket mutatott be, melyeket kifejezetten Afrika azon térségeibe szánnak, ahol nincs kiépített központi elektromos hálózat.
André Morriesen, a termék gyártásáért felelős vezető elmondta, a berendezések két előnnyel is járnak.
Egyrészt jóval kevesebb élelmiszer megy így veszendőbe a vidéki, áram nélküli térségek jellemzően szegényebb háztartásaiban, ami számottevő megtakarítást jelent a családi költségvetésben.
Ezért a vásárlók mobiltelefonjaikon tudnak meghatározott, illetve akár egyéni döntéseik szerinti összeget is fizetni a használatért, amely tulajdonképpen törlesztést is jelent. Így a háztartások végső soron ezen befizetéseikkel megvehetik a teljes napenergiával működő rendszert.
