 A jelentés szerint Reznyikov a Forbes Ukraine Együtt építünk elnevezésű fórumon elmondta, hogy ma Ukrajnában legalább 700 ezer katona, 90 ezer nemzeti gárdista, mintegy 60 ezer határőr és 100 ezer rendőr van mozgósítva. Mint hangsúlyozta, jelenleg már több mint egymillió egyenruhás tevékenykedik az ország védelmi és biztonsági szektorában.
 A védelmi miniszter felszólította a vállalkozásokat, hogy aktívabban támogassák a hadsereget és a biztonsági ágazatot, bátrabban fektessenek be ebbe a szektorba. Hozzátette, hogy a hadművelet miatt Ukrajna egyfajta gyakorlótérré változott, ahol új típusú fegyvereket és innovatív megoldásokat próbálnak ki. „Ma ez egy hatalmas gyakorlóterep, ahol tesztelések folynak. Ez pedig azt jelenti, hogy itt a technológiai dolgokra, az innovatív megoldásokra, javaslatokra lesz kereslet. Ezért vegyesvállalatokat kell alapítani, még akkor is, ha azok először a kelet-európai országokban helyezkednek el, majd áttelepülnek Nyugat-Ukrajna területére, védett helyre, és erre ma már valós igény van” – mondta el. Mint megjegyezte, a védelmi minisztérium azon dolgozik, hogy Ukrajnát modern NATO-típusú fegyverekkel – tüzérséggel, páncélozott járművekkel, fegyverekkel – lássa el, és ezek mindegyike javításra és helyreállításra szorul majd. Ezért sürgős a bázisokat kell létrehozni a pótalkatrészek, különféle berendezések alkatrészeinek tárolására, sőt időszerű egy tölténygyár létesítése is – mutatott rá Olekszij Reznyikov.

 Reznyikov meg van győződve arról, hogy ebben a kérdésben az államot, a társadalmat és minden felfegyverzett állampolgárt terheli a felelősség.

 A miniszter a kiadványnak azt mondta: „most nincs szükség mozgósításra a fenyegetést tekintve. Ha most kiképzési mozgósítást hirdetünk, az pánikot kelt az utcákon. Mindenki azt fogja hinni, hogy tudtuk és elhallgattuk, hogy holnap támadni fog az ellenség.”
 A tárcavezető szerint a hatóságok egyelőre a területvédelmi alakulatok felállításán dolgoznak. „Kiképezzük őket, normál terepgyakorlatok lesznek. A kiképzést a megyei és a járási állami adminisztrációk és természetesen a kijevi városi állami adminisztráció vezetőivel kezdjük. Ugyancsak fel vannak osztva a területvédelmi parancsnokságok. Északról kezdjük, összegyűjtünk minden megyét, plusz Kijevet, két-három napig képezzük ki őket a lőtéren, hogyan kell együttműködni, mit kell tenni. Azután kelet, dél és nyugat következik” – összegezte Olekszij Reznyikov.

 A védelmi miniszter hangsúlyozta, „egyesek fejében valóban tombol a pánikhangulat, de ilyen az élet, az emberi pszichológia.” Hozzátette: „mindenkit kérek, hogy hisztéria és pánik nélkül, maradjon nyugodt, mert ez az ukrán nép legerősebb fegyvere.” Az ukrán fegyveres erők készen állnak az ellenség és támadására és visszaverésére – mutatott rá Olekszij Reznyikov.

 A miniszter ugyanakkor hozzátette, hogy az ukrán fegyveres erők harci egységeinek külön tartalékai vannak. „A közeljövőben megkezdődik a rendszeres tájékoztatása azoknak az állampolgároknak, akik a területvédelmi erőkben vagy annak tartalékában kívánnak szolgálni, hogy milyen algoritmus szerint kell cselekedniük” – mondta Olekszij Reznyikov.

 A jelentés szerint a hadügyminiszter a parlamentben tartott sajtókonferenciáján elmondta, hogy a kötelező katonai sorozás kérdéséről megoszlanak a vélemények. Ezért – mutatott rá – szakértőkkel fog konzultálni, és meghallgat több véleményt. „A konzultációim során most tényleg vizsgálom, hogy helyénvaló-e a kötelező sorozás megszüntetése” – emlékeztetett. Hozzátette, hogy most nem akarja ismertetni, hogyan látja a kérdést, jóllehet érzi annak súlyát, ezért ellenőrizni szeretné nézetének a helyességét szakértőkkel folytatott megbeszéléseken.
 Reznyikov hangsúlyozta: „az álmom az, hogy végeredményben eljussunk a hivatásos hadsereghez, mert az sokkal hatékonyabb.” Kiemelte, mindent meg kell tenni a hadsereg vonzóbbá tétele érdekében, és akkor szerinte nem lesz időszerű a fiúk, diákok katonai sorozása. De mint elmondta, sok szerződéses katona nem akarja folytatni a szolgálatot, ezért meg kell teremteni a feltételeket, hogy meghosszabbítsák szerződésüket.

 Reznyikov szerint Donbász még hosszú ideig háborús terület lesz mind az elaknásítást, mind pedig az emberek mentalitását tekintve. „A biztonságos reintegráció minimum 25 évet vesz majd igénybe” – tette hozzá. Megjegyezte, egy nemzedékváltásnak kell végbemennie ahhoz, hogy elmondható legyen: az ukrán hatalmi ellenőrzés visszaállítása azokon a területeken megszünteti az ottani emberek fejében lévő viszályt.
 A helyettes miniszterelnök azt is elmondta, hogy a megszállt területeken vannak olyan fiatal emberek, akik gyűlölik Ukrajnát, és a Szovjetunióban akarnak élni. Eközben idén már azok a gyerekek kezdik el az iskolát, akik nem tudják, milyen a szabad Ukrajna, tehát minden tekintetben elhúzódó rendezésre kell készülni – hangsúlyozta Olekszij Reznyikov.
