Американські військові планують створити у Європі навчальний центр із використання високомобільних артилерійських ракетних систем HIMARS.

Про це 8 лютого повідомив Голос Америки з посиланням на генерал-лейтенанта Джона Колашескі, який відповідає за операції армії США на східному фланзі НАТО.
„Ми все ще перебуваємо на попередніх етапах, але це буде зона, в якій ми, можливо, об’єднаємо одразу кілька країн в одне місце”, – уточнив військовий.
Пропонована програма буде доступна для країн НАТО, схвалених для продажу артилерійських систем великої дальності, включаючи Естонію, Польщу та Румунію.
За словами Колашескі, центр HIMARS буде схожий на тренувальну базу Abrams, яка відкрилася в Польщі минулого року.
