Orlando Bloom brit színész az UNICEF jószolgálati nagyköveteként Kijevbe látogatott, ahol Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnökkel is találkozott.
Bloom több családot és iskolát is meglátogatott a fővárosban, majd a Kijev közeli falvakba, Irpinbe és Demydivbe is ellátogatott.
A találkozón Bloom arról beszélt, lenyűgözte az ukrán nép bátorsága és összetartása, az ukrán elnök pedig arról, hogy a kormány számára továbbra is prioritást élvez a gyerekek biztonsága.
Az Unicef azon dolgozik Ukrajnában, hogy megfelelő infrastruktúra álljon a rendelkezésre azoknak a gyermekeknek a gondozására, akiknek a szülei meghaltak a háborúban.
A színész a beszélgetés alatt úgy hivatkozik Putyinra, hogy „ő, akit nem nevezünk nevén”. Az utalással a Harry Potter-könyvek főgonoszához, Voldemorthoz hasonlította az orosz elnököt. A színész azzal köszönt el az ukrán elnöktől, hogy az anyja azt üzeni neki: győzzön!
Az UNICEF tavaly decemberben kiadott jelentésében azt írta: 1,5 millió ukrán gyereket fenyegethet a depresszió, a szorongás, a poszttraumás stressz és más mentális állapotok veszélye.
„A háború szabályai egyértelműek – a gyerekeket és a túlélésükhöz nélkülözhetetlen civil infrastruktúrát meg kell védeni” – írták a jelentésben.
