Велика Британія замовила тисячі нових протитанкових озброєнь у рамках угоди на 223 мільйони фунтів стерлінгів (272,04 мільйона доларів) із шведським виробником Saab, повідомило у середу міністерство оборони.
Нова зброя збиратиметься на заводі Thales у Белфасті, Північна Ірландія, і поступатиме до британської армії.
„Ці легкі протитанкові засоби нового покоління відіграли вирішальну роль у підтримці української армії”, – йдеться у заяві міністра оборони Бена Воллеса.
„Працюючи з нашими першокласними галузевими партнерами, ми продовжуємо виконувати свої зобов’язання перед НАТО, гарантуючи, що наші збройні сили отримуватимуть стабільні поставки цієї зброї найближчими роками, одночасно підтримуючи робочі місця у Великій Британії по всій країні”, – продовжив він.
