Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök méltatta a csernyihivi katasztrófavédelmi és egészségügyi szolgálatok munkáját, amelyet a városközpontot szombaton ért orosz rakétatámadás következményeinek felszámolása során fejtettek ki – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál az államfő Telegram-csatornájára hivatkozva.
Mint az elnök beszámolt róla, a hét ember között, akik Csernyihivben haltak meg az orosz rakétatámadás következtében, volt egy Szofija nevű, mindössze hat éves kislány is. „Részvétem a hozzátartozóknak! 144 sérült és sebesült van, köztük 15 gyerek. A rakéta a város központját találta el. Az Úr színeváltozása ortodox ünnepen” – tette hozzá.
Zelenszkij megjegyezte: a mentési akciót összesen 140 ember végezte: orvosok, katasztrófaelhárítók, katonák és helyi hatóságok. „Mindenki segített. Köszönet mindenkinek, aki mentette a gyerekek, a felnőttek életét – mindenkinek” – hangoztatta a szombat esti videüzenetében.
Az államfő külön méltatta Ljudmila Kopis és Vjacseszlav Prohorenko mentősöket, Szerhij Kosztenkót, Vlagyiszlav Szokolenkot, Jurij Ovrutszkijt, Valerij Morgackijt, a katasztrófavédelmi szolgálat munkatársait, Olekszij Marcsenko,Viktor Dovzsenko, Andrij Vovka és Andrij Zeljaka rendőröket. „Hálás vagyok mindnyájatoknak! És biztos vagyok benne: a katonáink választ fognak adni Oroszországnak erre a terrortámadásra. Kézzelfogható választ! Dicsőség mindenkinek, aki védi államunkat és népünket! Dicsőség Ukrajnának!” – hangsúlyozta Volodimir Zelenszkij, rámutatva, hogy különböző vezetők, államok és nemzetközi szervezetek képviselői elítélték a Csernyihiv elleni rendkívül aljas orosz támadást, és nekik is köszönetet mondott.
