Finnország északi részén, Svédországban és Norvégiában március 4-én kezdődött meg a NATO-országok nagyszabású hadgyakorlata Nordic Response 24 néven, számolt be a Yle.
A gyakorlatok március 15-ig tartanak, és Norvégia vezetésével zajlanak. A tréning a szárazföldön, tengeren és a levegőben zajlik majd. A gyakorlatokon 14 ország mintegy 20 000 katonája vesz részt.
A Nordic Response 2024 az észak-atlanti szövetség Steadfast Defender nagyszabású hadgyakorlatának része.
„Több mint 50 hajót, köztük fregattokat és tengeralattjárókat, valamint több mint 100 vadászgépet, helikoptert és egyéb repülőgépet is részt vesznek a gyakorlaton” – tette hozzá a kiadvány.
