A cseh vezérkari főnök, Karel Rzehka úgy véli, hogy az országnak a következő években több mint hétezer katonával kell megerősítenie hadseregét – számolt be a Radio Prague International, írta a Jevropejszka Pravda.
Rzehka véleménye szerint a cseh hadsereg állományát hozzávetőleg 7,5 katonával kell bővíteni a következő években. Ennek oka a világ változó biztonsági helyzete.
A cseh hadsereg vezérkari főnöke elmondása szerint el kell gondolkodni a főként expedíciós haderőként felépített hadsereg jövőbeni irányvonalán.
„Mindent megteszünk a meglévő rendszeren belül, és megpróbáljuk kiküszöbölni a problémákat. De az igazság az, hogy további mintegy 7500 emberre lesz szükségünk az új feladatok elvégzéséhez. Ez azt jelenti, hogy a jelenlegi létszám mellett hozzávetőlegesen 14 ezer fővel kell megerősíteni a hadsereget, ami a jelenlegi szint közel 60%-a”, mondta.
Rzhehka megjegyezte, hogy a tavalyi év elején a védelmi tárcának 27 826 sorkatonája és 4 266 aktív tartalékos katonája volt. De magának a hadseregnek körülbelül 24 000 katonája van.
Csehország vezérkari főnöke azt is megjegyezte, hogy 2030-ra 30 ezer reguláris katona és 10 ezer aktív tartalékos lesz a hadsereg.
Emellett Rzehka elmondása szerint a NATO új kapacitásépítési céljai azt jelzik, hogy a kollektív elrettentés és védelem szükségleteinek kielégítéséhez akár 37 500 katonára is szükség van.

Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök bejelentette, hogy a katonai vezetést utasította, hozzon létre tartalékállományt, hogy a fronton harcoló katonák visszaállíthassák erőiket a csaták után – közölte az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál az államfő és Boris Johnson volt brit miniszterelnök a kijevi Tarasz Sevcsenko Nemzeti Egyetem hallgatóival és tanáraival vasárnap folytatott beszélgetésen.
A jelentés szerint Zelenszkij az ukrán hadsereg legénységi állományának feltöltésével kapcsolatos kérdésre válaszolva elmondta, hogy a katonai vezetés feladata tartalékok létrehozása, hogy a védők a harcok után vissza tudják állítani az erőiket. „Mert különböző okok miatt nehéz, így mind a sebesülések, mind a pszichés állapot miatt. Ennek normálisnak kell lennie” – hangsúlyozta.
Az elnök megjegyezte, a mozgósítási folyamatok részleteit nem árulhatja el, de a főparancsnok vezérkara meghozta az ezzel kapcsolatos döntéseket, a parancsnokok most dolgoznak a területükön történő megvalósításon. Mint megjegyezte, az ukrán hadsereg legfontosabb erőforrása a személyi állomány, amelyet meg kell védeni. „Az emberek nemcsak fontosak, hanem a legfontosabbak” – nyugtatta meg az ukrán lakosságot Volodimir Zelenszkij.
