Észtországban 600 ukrán katona vett részt kiképző tanfolyamon, amely most fejeződött be – jelentette be hétfőn Hanno Pevku, Észtország védelmi minisztere, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál a The Independent című brit lapra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Pevku közölte: „600 ukrán gyalogos katonát képeztünk ki. Egyszerre egy századnak tartottunk kiképzést, három alkalommal.”
Az észt védelmi miniszter azt is elmondta, hogy a gyalogosok mellett orvosokat, lövészeket, mesterlövészeket és egyéb katonai szakterületek képviselőit képezték ki. „Észtország megérti Ukrajna támogatásának fontosságát, mert immár nemcsak a területét és a népét védi, hanem az egész szabad világot is” – vélekedett Honno Pevku.
