 A Nobel-díjak összegét 2020-ban 10 millió svéd koronára (körülbelül egymillió amerikai dollár) emelik. Az elmúlt nyolc évben megnőtt a Nobel Alapítvány jövedelme, így megnőtt a jövedelme annak az alapnak is, amelyből évente öt Nobel-díjat fizetnek ki – írta a Korrespondent.net.
 „Idén különösen fontosnak tűnik a nyertesek értékelése és támogatása, akiknek eredményei inspirálnak minket és reményt adnak a jövőre nézve” –mondta Heikensten.
 Elmondása szerint a 2012 óta általa kezelt Alap befektetési tőkéje 3-ról 4,6 milliárd koronára (300-ról 460 millió dollárra) nőtt, ami lehetővé tette a díjakért járó pénzösszeg emelését.
 Idén október 5-én kezdődik a kémiai, fizikai, irodalmi és orvostudományi Nobel-díjak valamint a Nobel-békedíj nyerteseinek kihirdetése.
 A díjátadó ünnepségre hagyományosan december 10-én, a díj alapítójának, Alfred Nobel halálának napján kerül sor.
