Január 11-én Nagy-Britannia további hét oltási központot nyitott meg a lakosság koronavírus elleni beoltására. A kormány így kívánja felgyorsítani az oltások terjesztését az országban – számolt be a Reuters.
A hírek szerint, oltási központ nyílt a londoni Nightingale Field terep kórházban, az ország nyugati részén fekvő Bristol futballstadionjában, a délkeleti Epsom versenypályáján és egy manchesteri teniszklubban is.
Arról is beszámoltak, hogy Nagy-Britanniában ezen a héten további több száz orvosi rendelőben, kórházban és néhány gyógyszertárban is megkezdik oltások beadását. Ennek eredményeként az oltási pontok száma 1200-ra nő.
A hatóságok február 15-ig be akarják oltani az idősotthonok lakóit, valamint az egészségügyi és szociális munkásokat. Ehhez heti 2 millió embert kell beoltani. Matt Hancock egészségügyi miniszter elmondta, naponta körülbelül 200 000 embert oltanak be koronavírus elleni vakcinával.
