Washington ideiglenesen kimenekítette Kijevből a Központi Hírszerző Ügynökség (CIA) ukrajnai ügynökhálózatának a központját, a munkatársakat meg nem nevezett helyre evakuálták – írta a The New York Times című mértékadó amerikai lap szerdán, adta hírül a strana.news hírportál.







A jelentés szerint az újságot illetékes, de meg nem nevezett tisztségviselők arról tájékoztatták, hogy az Egyesült Államok kedden ideiglenesen áttelepítette a CIA rezidentúráját Kijevből, egy nappal azután, hogy a külügyminisztérium bejelentette, a diplomáciai testületét Lembergbe költözteti. Hogy pontosan hova telepítették át ideiglenesen a CIA hírszerző tisztjeit, az informátorok nem árulták el.



A lap szerint a CIA-ügynökök kimenekítése Kijevből megnehezítheti az ukrajnai orosz tevékenységekkel kapcsolatos információk gyűjtését. Az Egyesült Államok azon dolgozik, hogy hírszerzési információkat gyűjtsön, feloldja a titkosításukat, nyilvánosságra hozza azokat, és ezáltal leleplezze az ukrán kormány megbuktatására vagy leváltására irányuló különféle orosz összeesküvéseket – mutatott rá az amerikai kiadvány.
