Az Egyesült Államok kongresszusi tagjaiból, európai uniós tagállamok parlamenti és ukrán parlamenti képviselőkből álló USA–Európa szankciós koalíció felszólította az Uniót, hogy a készülő tízedik szankciós csomagba tíz magánszemélyt, többek között a világhírű amerikai színészt, Steven Seagalt is szankcionálja. A testület szerint az érintettek bűne, hogy támogatták az Ukrajna elleni orosz inváziót – adta hírül az EURACTIV nevű hírportál.



Az USA–Európa szankciós koalíció 2022 őszén alakult azzal a céllal, hogy „szinkronizáljuk a szankciókat országainkban” – mondta Olekszij Honcsarenko ukrán parlamenti képviselő az EURACTIV-nek.







A listán szereplők: Vlagyimir Lizin, Magomed Gadzsiev és Vlagyimir Potanin orosz oligarchák, Franz Klincevics és Ksenia Sobchak politikusok, Philipp Kirkorov, Igor Krutoj szórakoztatóművészek, Alekszej Lihacsov orosz állami vállalat tisztviselője és Vadim Rabinovics ukrán oligarcha, valamint Steven Seagal amerikai színész.



A testület az amerikai világsztár terhére nem csak azt rótta fel, hogy Putyin mellett szólt, hanem azt is, hogy az orosz elnök születésnapja alkalmából Moszkvába repült, hogy a „világ nagy vezetőjével” ünnepeljen.



A koalíció által bűnösnek tartott tíz magánszemély elleni szankciók bevezetése érdekében a testület tavaly év végén Anthony Blinken amerikai külügyminiszterhez és Josep Borrell uniós főképviselőhöz fordult, most pedig ügyük érdekében Tobias Billström svéd külügyminiszternek is levelet írt.



Honcsarenko szerint a szankciók csak akkor lehetnek sikeresek, ha az országok összehangoltan cselekednek. Vlagyimir Lisin orosz milliárdosnak például van egy kastélya az Egyesült Királyságban, gyárai vannak Belgiumban, háza pedig Miamiban, és ezeket mind szankció alá kell venni ahhoz, hogy meg lehessen „büntetni”. Mint fogalmazott: „nagyon rossz jelzés lenne a világ számára, ha az ilyen embereket nem büntetik meg, hiszen az Putyin rezsimjének győzelme”.
