Világszerte számos weboldal vált elérhetetlenné csütörtök este – számolt be róla a BBC. A lap szerint a felhasználók az oldalak felkeresésekor DNS-hibáról kaptak visszajelzést, vagyis a lekérés nem jutott el az oldalig.

Hogy pontosan mi okozta a meghibásodást, egyelőre nem tudni. Az egyik ismert DNS-szolgáltató, az Akamai Twitteren jelezte, hogy észlelték a problémát, és már dolgoznak az elhárításán. Nem sokkal később pedig arról született bejegyzés, hogy a hibát elhárították.
