Az ABC amerikai televíziótársaság elbocsátotta korábban már felfüggesztett vezető riporterét, Terry Morant, aki a hétvégén éles kritikát fogalmazott meg Donald Trump elnökkel és Stephen Miller fehér házi tanácsadóval szemben.
A Disney vállalatcsoporthoz tartozó médiavállalkozás közleménye szerint az 1997 óta a cégnél dolgozó újságíró pénteken lejáró szerződését nem újítják meg. A közlemény a munkaszerződés megszüntetését Terry Moran hétvégén megjelent posztjával indokolta, amely egyértelműen sérti az ABC News televízió szabályait. Morant már vasárnap felfüggesztették állásából, nem sokkal az X-en megjelent bejegyzést követően, a többi között azzal indokolva a döntést, hogy a megnyilvánulás megsértette a médiatársaság munkatársaival szemben támasztott elvárásait.
A vezető riporter posztjában Donald Trump elnökről többi között úgy fogalmazott, hogy világklasszis gyűlölködő, akinek ez a lelki tápláléka.
Stephen Millerrel, az elnök politikai tanácsadójával, a Fehér Ház kabinetfőnök-helyettesével kapcsolatban az újságíró azt írta, hogy gyűlölettel gazdagon felruházott, aki gyűlölettel táplálkozik. Terry Moran a bejegyzést nem sokkal később törölte.
