A jelölni jogosultak azonban nyilvánosságra hozhatják, hogy kit terjesztettek fel. Köztük vannak a norvég törvényhozók is, akiknek jelöltjei között 2014 óta egyetlen év, 2019 kivételével mindig ott volt az, aki végül megkapta az elismerést.
 A katolikus egyházfő, Attenborough, Thunberg és Cihanouszkaja mellett a norvég törvényhozók listáján szerepel még az Egészségügyi Világszervezet (WHO), Tuvalu külügyminisztere, Simon Kofe, a mianmari nemzeti egységkormány, Alekszej Navalnij bebörtönzött orosz ellenzéki politikus, a Hágai Nemzetközi Büntetőbíróság, a WikiLeaks és Chelsea Manning, a NATO, a CARE segélyszervezet, Maszih Alinezsád iráni emberi jogi aktivista, valamint az északi-sarkvidéki nemzetek együttműködésének kormányközi fóruma, az Északi-sarkvidéki Tanács.
