Az ukrán hírszerzésnek Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnökhöz közel álló forrásai vannak, ezért Kijevben mindent tudnak a Kreml terveiről – jelentette be pénteken Kirilo Budanov, a Védelmi Minisztérium hírszerzési főosztályának vezetője a Reuters brit hírügynökségnek adott interjújában, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Budanov elárulta: „Vannak saját forrásaink. Úgyszólván a (Putyinhoz) legközelebbi irodákban. Ezért általában tudjuk, mi történik.” Ugyan semmilyen bizonyítékkal nem szolgált, de megjegyezte, hogy pontosan megjósolta az orosz inváziót még a teljes körű háború tavalyi kitörése előtt. „Kinek volt igaza? Nekünk” – erősítette meg.
A katonai hírszerző főnök elmondása szerint az ukrán hírszerzés lehallgatta az orosz belügyminisztérium közvélemény-kutatását, amely kimutatta, hogy Jevgenyij Prigozsinnak, a Wagner csoport vezetőjének támogatottsága van Oroszországon belül. Azt is állította, hogy Ukrajna tanult 2014-ből, amikor Moszkva meglepte a világot az Ukrajnához tartozó Krím-félsziget elfoglalásával és a kelet-ukrajnai háború kirobbantásával. „2014-ben teljesen elvesztettük az információs háborút. És a háborút, amely 2022-ben kezdődött – teljesen másképp indítottunk. És most az oroszok veszítik el az információs csatát” – mutatott rá Kirilo Budanov.
