Ukrajna célja egy teljes értékű hajókarbantartási és -építési bázis létrehozása, aminek fontos része az Ivan Mazepa hetman, első ukrán korvett vízre bocsátása Törökországban – jelentette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök hétfő esti videoüzenetben, számolt be a Levij Bereg hírportál.
A tudósítás szerint az elnök kifejtette: „az építkezés 2021-ben kezdődött, és a megbeszélt időpontban be is fejeződik. Nagyon szimbolikusnak tartom, hogy ezt a nevet kapta. Az évszázados orosz hamis propaganda ellenére a történelmi igazság és igazságosság még mindig érvényesül. És semmi ok arra, hogy a projektünk, hogy új flottát építsünk Ukrajna számára, megbukjon. Minden tervünket megvalósítjuk. Célunk egy teljes értékű bázis létrehozása Ukrajnában a hajók karbantartására és építésére.”
Az államfő emlékeztetett arra, hogy Andrij Jermak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetője az ukrán delegációval együtt meglátogatta a Baykar cég létesítményeit, amely a jól ismert Bayraktar drónokat gyártja. Jermak az összes ukrán nevében köszönetet mondott a cég vezetőinek, és kitüntette a cég igazgatótanácsának elnökét, amelyet Ukrajna függetlenségének évfordulóján ítéltek neki oda. Szerinte ez a találkozó nem szimbolikus, inkább gyakorlatias, hiszen folynak az előkészületek a Bajkar cég ukrajnai képzési központjának és gyárának létrehozására, valamint a repülőgép-hajtóművek közös gyártására.
„Ukrajna mindig is a hadi- és repülőgépipar egyik európai központja volt és lesz is. És büszke vagyok arra, hogy teljes bizalommal és joggal mondhatom ezeket a szavakat az államunk elleni teljes körű orosz háború 221. napjának eredményei alapján. Valaki számára valami nem a tervek szerint alakult” – mutatott rá Volodimir Zelenszkij.
