Másfél éven keresztül férhettek hozzá hackerek a Brewdog brit sörfőző cég applikációjának személyes adataihoz, és akár százezreket is megkárosíthattak – írja a Sky News.
Bár a személyes adatok is relatíve érzékenyek voltak (név, lakcím, telefonszám stb.), a cég részvényprogramot hirdetett, az erre előfizetők pedig születésnapjukon ingyen sört kaphattak – az ezekhez szükséges QR-kódokhoz pedig simán hozzáférhettek a betolakodók.
A cég állítólag kijavította már a hibát, amelyet egy harmadik fél, a Pen Test Partners kiberbiztonsági cég vett észre. A Brewdog állítja: adatlopás nem történt, de a Pen Test szerint ezt nem fogják tudni igazolni, az ügy pedig nagyon alapos kivizsgálást igényel.
