Ukrajna nyugati határain az országba vezető átkelők előtt egyre hosszabb autósorok alakulnak ki. Ennek oka az, hogy sokan szeretnének még élni a hírek szerint már csak rövid ideig érvényes kedvezményes jármű behozatal lehetőségével. A vám és különféle kötelező adók és befizetések visszaállításáról szóló hivatalos dokumentumot még nem írta alá az elnök és még nem lett közzétéve a szövege sem.
Március 2-ig lezárta a légterét Oroszország a polgári légi járművek számára az Ukrajnával és Fehéroroszországgal közös nyugati határa mentén – közölték kedden az orosz légügyi hatóságok.
A döntést a polgári repülőgépek repülésbiztonságát fegyverek és katonai felszerelések használata miatt fenyegető nagyfokú veszéllyel indokolták. A légtérzárlat az ukrán és fehérorosz határ mentén minden magasságban érvényes. A tilalom az állami légi járművekre nem vonatkozik.
Az ukrajnai helyzet miatt csütörtökön, Moszkvában leállították a járatok közlekedését több dél-oroszországi repülőtérre, egyúttal közép-európai idő szerint 1 óra 45 perctől felfüggesztették a rosztovi, a krasznodari, az anapai, a gelendzsiki, az elisztai, a sztavropoli, a belgorodi, a brjanszki, az orjoli, a kurszki, a voronyezsi, a volgográdi és a szimferopoli repülőtér működését.
Korábban az amerikai Szövetségi Légügyi Hivatal honlapja számolt be arról, hogy Ukrajna felett korlátozták a polgári légi közlekedést a lehetséges fenyegetések miatt. Az Avianews című szakkiadvány arról számolt be, hogy Ukrajnában a harkivi és a dnyiprói repülőteret szerda estétől csütörtök reggelig lezárták.
Az oroszországi Belgorod megye és a Krím Ukrajnával határos területein csütörtökön tanítási szünetet rendeltek el. Kurszk megyében, az államhatár közelében, áttértek a távoktatásra. Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök csütörtök hajnalban különleges katonai művelet végrehajtását rendelte el a Donyec-medencében. A moszkvai tőzsde csütörtök reggel minden piacon felfüggesztette a kereskedést. Reggel a dollár árfolyama 2016 januárja óta először lépte át a 84 rubelt.
Oroszország 2014-ben csatolta el a Krímet Ukrajnától, a Kijevben végbement erőszakos politikai fordulat nyomán, a félszigeten megrendezett népszavazás eredményére hivatkozva. Ennek legitimitását a nemzetközi közösség túlnyomó többsége nem ismerte el és az annexiót Ukrajna területi épsége megsértésének tartja.
