 A Hospodarske noviny szerint az orosz invázió előtt a cseh hadsereg 86 használható T–72M1 tankkal rendelkezett. Az utolsó szállítmány ezekből a járművekből március és április között indult Ukrajnába. Több szovjet típusú, harcképes állapotban lévő tank már nem maradt Csehországban, bár van néhány, amely még modernizálás alatt áll.
