Az Instagram anyavállalata, a Meta nyilvánosan kért bocsánatot, miután egy igen kellemetlen, elmondásuk szerint „automatikus fordítási hiba” miatt több palesztin felhasználó profiljába is beillesztették a „terrorista” kifejezést.
A Guardian jelentése szerint mindez olyan felhasználókat érintett, akiknek a profilján angolul a „Palestinian” szó, a palesztin zászló emoji és az arabul írt „alhamdulillah” kifejezés szerepelt.
Az automatikus fordítással azonban angolra fordítva a követkető szöveg jelent meg a profiljukban:
„Dicsőség istennek, a palesztin terroristák a szabadságukért harcolnak.”
Több felhasználó is közzétett posztokat, hogy felhívják a figyelmet a problémára, köztük a YtKingKhan nevű TikTok-felhasználó, aki videójában arról is beszámolt, hogy a különböző kombinációkat még mindig „terroristának” fordították. A videóra rengetegen reagáltak, a legtöbben pedig értetlenkedve fogadták a nem mindennapi hibát.
Az Instagram pedig relatíve gyorsan lépett, hiszen az első, a problémáról szóló videó után megoldást eszközölt, így az automatikus fordítás azóta úgy szól: „Hála Istennek”. A Meta szóvivője a Guardian Australia megkeresésére árulta el, hogy a hét elején orvosolták a problémát, majd „őszintén elnézést kért” az okozott kellemetlenségekért.

Mintegy 43 ezer ember kaphatott negatív koronavírus-tesztről szóló értesítést úgy, hogy valójában fertőzöttek voltak – írta az AP a brit egészségügyi szakhatóság pénteki tájékoztatása alapján.
A vizsgálatokat az Immensa Health Clinic nevű laboratórium végezte, amely Wolverhampton városában található. A fals eredmények miatt azonban mostanra már fel is függesztették az engedélyüket.
A tesztelést szeptember 8-12. között végezte a labor, PCR-es mintavétellel. Közlésük szerint nem ezekkel volt probléma, a jelenség oka technikai hibára vezethető vissza.
A szakhatóság hozzátette, hogy elszigetelt esetről van szó.
