A kórházban tartózkodó Ferenc pápa éjszakája jól telt, a pápa aludt és továbbra is pihen – közölte a Szentszék hétfő reggel.
Az orvosi információk alapján vasárnap este kiadott szentszéki közleményben az szerepelt, hogy továbbra is kritikus a kétoldali tüdőgyulladással a római Gemelli-klinikán kezelt Ferenc pápa állapota, akinél az orvosok „enyhe, kezdeti veseelégtelenséget” állapítottak meg.
A Vatikán hangsúlyozta, hogy a 88 éves egyházfő éber volt, s bár nem volt újabb légzési rohama, oxigénpótlásra szorult.
Az egyházfő vasárnap reggel misén is részt vett az ápolószemélyzettel közösen a Gemelli-klinika tizedik emeletén található pápai kórterem kápolnájában.
