 A Magyarországra érkező ukrán gépjárműveknek is rendelkeznie kellene egy úgynevezett nemzetközi zöldkártyával, ami igazolja, hogy biztosítva van az autójuk. Az igazolás hiányában, határbiztosítást kellene kötni, amely nagyságrendileg egy személygépkocsik esetében egy hónapra kilencvenezer forint.
 Tekintettel a háborús helyzetre és a menekültek körülményeire, vélhetően ezt sokan nem tudták beszerezni, ezért a magyar biztosítók átvállalják a díj túlnyomó részét. Jelképes összeget, havi ezer forintot kell fizetnie az autósoknak a rendkívüli állapotok fennmaradásáig a személygépkocsival érkezőknek – írja közleményében a Magyar Biztosítók Szövetsége (MABISZ).

 A közlemény szerint a zöldkártya nélküli utazásról szóló megállapodások az NBU mint a biztosítási piac szabályozója és a Külügyminisztérium, valamint Lengyelország, Szlovákia és Magyarország állami szerveinek munkatalálkozóin születtek. A döntést ma Moldova is támogatta.
 Ukrajna állampolgárai zöldkártya-biztosítás nélkül léphetik át ezen országok államhatárait. Az ukrán határőrök a Külügyminisztérium utasítása szerint szintén nem kérik a zöldkártyát – áll a közleményben.
 A zöldkártya nélküli határátlépésre vonatkozó döntés az ukrajnai hadiállapotnak köszönhető.
 A zöldkártya nemzetközi gépkocsi-biztosítási megállapodás. Ez a fajta biztosítás kötelező minden Ukrajna területét elhagyó járműre. A zöldkártya a zöldkártya-rendszer tagországainak területén működik.
 Ezenkívül az ukrán gépjármű-biztosítási hivatal tájékoztatása szerint a lengyel biztosítók 30 napos időtartamra ingyenes felelősségbiztosítást állítanak ki az ukrán állampolgárok számára.

 Az Egyesült Államok Legfelső Bírósága elutasította az új szabályok bevezetésének megakadályozására irányuló beadványt, jelentette be a Fehér Ház sajtószolgálata február 23-án. „Mi elégedettek vagyunk a Legfelső Bíróság határozatával, amelynek értelmében pénteken este felfüggesztette a korábbi bírósági végzéseket… Ennek eredményeképpen az Egyesült Államok Belbiztonsági Minisztériuma hétfőtől bevezetheti az új szabályokat” – áll Donald Tramp elnök hivatalának nyilatkozatában.  
 A Fehér Ház 2019 augusztusában szigorította meg a zöldkártya kiadására vonatkozó szabályokat. A rendelkezésnek október közepén kellett hatályba lépnie, de New-York II. kerületi fellebbviteli bírósága blokkolta a bevezetését, írja a Koreszpondent.net. 
 Washington Post adatai szerint, a zöldkártyát évente több mint félmillió migráns igényli. Az új szabályok bevezetése a jövőben 382 ezer embert érint. 
 A kiadvány ugyanakkor megjegyzi, hogy az újonnan érkezők csak kis aránya jogosult a szociális támogatásra: sokan bevándorló státuszuk miatt nem igényelhetik a segélyt. 
 
 Egy hónappal ezelőtt, január 24-én az USA már megszigorította a vízumigénylés szabályait. Ezzel a döntésével Washington a „szülési turizmus” visszaszorítását és felszámolását akarta elérni, mivel elterjedt az a jelenség, amikor várandós nők szülés előtt érkeznek az államokba, hogy az újszülött automatikusan amerikai állampolgárságot kapjon. 
 Január 20-án forrásokra hivatkozva az amerikai sajtó a várandós nők vízumigénylésének növekedéséről kezdett írni. Három nap múlva az amerikai kormány nyilvánosságra hozta az idegenforgalmi vízumok kiadásának új szabályait, ami az úgynevezett „szülési turizmus” felszámolására irányult.
