 За словами Верхофстадта, міністр Великобританії за Brexit Стівен Барклі під час зустрічі з ним заявив, що для таких громадян ЄС буде встановлено термін до червня 2021 року.
 „Автоматичної депортації не буде. Після пільгового періоду у них буде можливість подати заявку, пояснюючи, чому це було неможливо зробити в рамках звичайних процедур”, – заявив Верхофстадт.
  Нагадаємо, 31 січня Великобританія повинна покинути Європейський союз.
