Ingyenesen igénybe vehetik csütörtöktől a brit állami egészségügyi ellátórendszer (NHS) szolgáltatásait a Nagy-Britanniába érkező ukrajnai menekültek.
A brit egészségügyi minisztérium és a belügyi tárca csütörtök esti közös tájékoztatása szerint az ukrajnai orosz invázió elől menekülők azonnali hatállyal, térítésmentesen részesülhetnek kórházi, körzeti orvosi és sürgősségi ellátásban.
A Nagy-Britannia által befogadott ukrán menekültek mindemellett ingyen beadathatják maguknak a koronavírus elleni oltást és egészségügyi szűrővizsgálatokra is jelentkezhetnek.
A két minisztérium ismertetése szerint a brit kormány külön törvénytervezetet is benyújtott annak jogszabályi garantálására, hogy az ukrajnai menekültek, akik törvényesen érkeztek Nagy-Britanniába, ugyanolyan feltételekkel vehessék igénybe az NHS szolgáltatásait, mint bármely más, nagy-britanniai lakos.
Az intézkedés egyelőre hat hónapig érvényes, utána felülvizsgálják.
Az egészségügyi és a belügyi tárca csütörtök esti tájékoztatása szerint a brit kormány daganatos betegségben szenvedő ukrajnai gyerekek nagy-britanniai kezelését is lehetővé tette. Eddig 21, Ukrajnából evakuált gyermek onkológiai kezelése kezdődött meg angliai NHS-kórházakban.
A brit belügyminisztérium közölte azt is, hogy eddig több mint 150 ezren iratkoztak fel a Homes for Ukraine kormányzati kezdeményezésre, jelezve, hogy készek befogadni ukrajnai menekülteket.
A brit kormány által meghirdetett, e héten kezdődött program alapján az ukrajnai menekültek nagy-britanniai támogatókat kereshetnek az erre kialakított kormányzati honlapon.
A programhoz csatlakozó nagy-britanniai lakosok saját otthonukban vagy más lakóingatlanukban lakbér nélküli lakhatást biztosíthatnak az általuk kiválasztott és megnevezett menekülteknek – egyéneknek vagy családoknak – legalább hat hónapig terjedő időszakra.
A befogadó családok és a menekülők a honlapon vehetik fel egymással a kapcsolatot, és megállapodás esetén az ukrajnai vízumkérők a kérelem benyújtásához e befogadókat nevezhetik meg támogatóként.
A brit kormány az ukrajnai menekülteket befogadó brit családoknak havonta 350 font támogatást folyósít.
Azoknak a brit településeknek az önkormányzatai, amelyek ukrajnai menekülőket fogadnak be, menekültenként 10 500 font költségvetési támogatásban részesülnek.

Megszűnik péntektől a koronavírus-járvány miatt korábban elrendelt összes beutazási korlátozás az Egyesült Királyságban – számolt be az MTI Grant Shapps brit közlekedési miniszterre hivatkozva.
Shapps a Twitteren közzétett bejelentésében kiemelte: március 18-án, brit idő szerint hajnali 4 órától – közép-európai idő szerint 5 órától – a külföldről érkezőknek nem kell kitölteniük az utasazonosító űrlapot (passenger locator form), és senkinek nem kell koronavírus-tesztet végeztetnie.
Shapps szerint mindezt a nagy-britanniai oltási kampány sikere tette lehetővé.
A miniszter hangsúlyozta: az intézkedés nyomán húsvétra még szabadabbá válik az utazás az Egyesült Királyságban.
A közlekedési tárca nem sokkal később, hétfő este közzétett részletes tájékoztatása külön kiemeli, hogy a tesztelési kötelezettség teljes eltörlése azokra a beutazókra is vonatkozik, akiknek nincs teljes körű oltásuk a koronavírus ellen.
A külföldről beutazók érkezés utáni koronavírus-tesztelési kötelezettsége már a múlt hónapban megszűnt, de az akkori intézkedés a koronavírus ellen teljes körűen beoltott utasokra vonatkozott és csak Angliára terjedt ki.
A brit közlekedési minisztérium hétfői bejelentése szerint ugyanakkor a beutazási korlátozások péntektől esedékes teljes feloldása egyértelműen az Egyesült Királyság egészére – Angliára, Skóciára, Walesre és Észak-Írországra – értendő.
A koronavírus elleni teljes körű beoltottságot a brit kormány jelenlegi meghatározása szerint két beadott oltási adag, illetve az egykomponensű Janssen vakcinából értelemszerűen egy beadott dózis jelenti.
A brit kormány jelenleg a Covaxin, a Moderna, a Janssen, a Novavax (Nuvaxovid és Covovax), az Oxford/AstraZeneca, a Pfizer/BioNTech, valamint a kínai Sinopharm és Sinovac oltóanyagokat ismeri el.
A nem teljesen beoltottaknak jelenleg az indulás előtti két napban elvégzett koronavírusteszt negatív leletét kell felmutatniuk, és az érkezés utáni második nap végéig is egy PCR-tesztet el kell végeztetniük. Ennek a tesztnek az időpontját még az indulás előtt le kell foglalniuk.
A brit közlekedési tárca hétfői bejelentése szerint azonban március 18-tól ezek az előírások is megszűnnek, vagyis azoknak sem kell az indulás előtt és az érkezés után koronavírus-szűrést végeztetniük, akik a brit kritériumok alapján nem számítanak teljes körűen beoltottnak.
A minisztérium indoklása szerint ez a döntés megfelel a brit kormány nemrégiben ismertetett stratégiájának, amelynek célja annak meghatározása, hogy az Egyesült Királyság miként tud a továbbiakban együtt élni a koronavírussal az egyéni szabadságjogok korlátozása nélkül.
A közlekedési tárca szerint az utazási korlátozások teljes feloldásáról szóló döntésben mindemellett része van a brit oltási kampány sikerének is.
A hétfő esti minisztériumi tájékoztatás szerint a brit lakosság 86 százaléka kapott eddig két oltási dózist, és 67 százaléknak a harmadik, emlékeztető és hatáserősítő oltási adagot is beadták.
A brit egészségügyi minisztérium legfrissebb, hétfő este ismertetett adatai szerint az első, a második és a harmadik oltási dózisból eddig összesen több mint 140,4 milliót adtak be az Egyesült Királyságban.
A közlekedési tárca hétfői tájékoztatása szerint a brit kormány március végétől felszabadítja azokat a szállodai férőhely-kapacitásokat is, amelyeket azoknak a beutazóknak tartott fenn, akiknek érkezésük után őrzött karanténba kellett vonulniuk.
Ez az előírás a járvány szempontjából különösen veszélyesnek tartott térségekből érkezőkre vonatkozott, de ezt a szabályozást a gyakorlatban már hónapok óta nem használják és az ilyen térségek számára fenntartott „vörös lista” is hosszú ideje üres.

A londoni kormányfői hivatal szóvivőjének ismertetése szerint a berendezéseket Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök és Vagyim Prisztajko, Ukrajna londoni nagykövete kérte Boris Johnson brit miniszterelnökkel és Kwasi Kwartenggel, az üzleti ügyek miniszterével tartott legutóbbi megbeszélésein.
A tájékoztatás szerint a brit kormány külön munkacsoportot állított össze a brit hálózati áramelosztó cégek részvételével a generátorok beszerzésére és továbbítására.
A nagy teljesítményű áramtermelő berendezések hozzávetőleg 20 ezer lakást tudnak ellátni elektromos energiával, de az elsődleges cél az orosz támadások miatt áramellátás nélkül maradt alapvető fontosságú intézmények, köztük kórházak, menedékhelyek és víztisztító művek áramszolgáltatásának biztosítása.
A Downing Street hétfői tájékoztatása szerint a generátorokat brit kereskedelmi szállítók adják majd saját készleteikből, és a berendezések nagy részét a szomszédos országokon keresztül viszik Ukrajnába.
A tájékoztatáshoz fűzött nyilatkozatában Boris Johnson kormányfő hangsúlyozta: „minden egyes nap látszanak Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök súlyos hibájának tragikus következményei Ukrajnában, és Nagy-Britannia mindent tőle telhetőt megtesz az illegális invázióval szembeni ukrán ellenállás támogatására gazdasági, diplomáciai és humanitárius intézkedésekkel, valamint védelmi célú katonai felszerelés szállításával”.
London ezúttal generátorokat ad Ukrajnának az áramkimaradások okozta nehézségek enyhítésére, és annak elősegítésére, hogy az alapvető fontosságú közszolgáltatások működőképesek maradjanak és az ukrán nép folytathassa országa védelmét – fogalmazott a brit kormányfő.

Brit parlamenti képviselők szerint Volodimir Zelenszkij megérdemelne egy lovagi címet az orosz invázióban tanúsított bátorságáért, a javaslatot pedig Boris Johnson elé is juttatták, írja a Metro.
Zelenszkij a napokban a brit alsóház előtt beszélt egy videohívásban, beszédét álló ováció fogadta, most pedig lovaggá ütéséért kampányol több politikus. A kampány sikere előtt jogi akadály nincs: a brit törvények megengedik, hogy külföldi állampolgárok tiszteletbeli lovagi címet kapjanak. Zelenszkij lovaggá ütésében ráadásul pártfüggetlenül egyetért több brit képviselő. Sir Ed Davey, a Liberális Demokrata párt vezetője szerint az ukrán elnök ugyanarról a bátorságról tesz tanúbizonyságot, amiről rengeteg ukrán világszerte, a munkáspárti Bob Seeley pedig igazi vezetőnek nevezte Zelenszkijt, aki hangot adott és példát mutatott polgárainak, de független és konzervatív képviselő is van a lovaggá ütés mellett kampányolók között.
Zelenszkijnek az Egyesült Államok felajánlotta, hogy evakuálják Kijevből, ám az ukrán elnök azt válaszolta: lőszerre van szükségem, nem fuvarra.

A brit belügyminiszter szerint százezer ukrán állampolgár telepedhet le Nagy-Britanniában családegyesítés révén.
Priti Patel a londoni alsóháznak küldött, a tárca által hétfő este ismertetett tájékoztatásában közölte: a brit kormány minden brit állampolgárnak, és mindenki másnak is, aki törvényesen telepedett le Nagy-Britanniában, lehetőséget nyújt arra, hogy Ukrajnában élő közvetlen hozzátartozóit Nagy-Britanniába hozassa.
Patel szerint ez az intézkedés önmagában százezer ukrán állampolgárnak teszi lehetővé, hogy menedékre leljen, munkát vállalhasson és igénybe vehesse a közszolgáltatásokat Nagy-Britanniában.
A brit belügyminiszter közölte: a kormány lehetővé tette azt is, hogy a brit állampolgárok Ukrajnában élő közvetlen rokonai, akiknek vízumra van szükségük a nagy-britanniai beutazáshoz, az ukrajnai Lembergben kialakított ideiglenes elfogadóhelyen, illetve a Magyarországon, Lengyelországban, Moldovában és Romániában működő brit vízumosztályokon is beadhatják Nagy-Britanniába szóló vízumkérelmüket.
Priti Patel tájékoztatása szerint a brit kormány az elmúlt hetekben feldolgozó stábok „özönét” irányította át ezekre a helyszínekre, és a vízumkérelmek elbírálása néhány óra alatt megtörténik.
A brit belügyminiszter hozzátette: a brit kormány az érintett ukrán állampolgárok esetében enyhítette a bevándorlási törvényben előírt angol nyelvismereti követelményeket és a letelepedéshez szükséges javadalmazási minimumot is.
Priti Patel tájékoztatója szerint ha egyes brit állampolgárok ukrajnai családtagjai nem felelnek meg a szokásos jogosultsági követelményeknek – de a biztonsági ellenőrzésen átmennek –, a brit belügyminisztérium vízum- és bevándorlási osztálya az érvényes bevándorlási szabályok figyelmen kívül hagyásával tizenkét hónapra szóló nagy-britanniai tartózkodási engedélyt állít ki nekik.
A brit kormány mindemellett legalább 2022 decemberéig meghosszabbítja azoknak az ukránoknak a tartózkodási engedélyét, akik átmeneti munkavállalási engedéllyel dolgoznak a brit gazdaság bizonyos szektoraiban.
A brit EU-tagság megszűnése után a brit kormány új bevándorlási szabályozást honosított meg, amely főleg a szakképzettség és az angol nyelvtudás alapján pontozásos kritériumrendszert alkalmaz a külföldiek nagy-britanniai letelepedési és munkavállalási kérelmeinek elbírálásához, függetlenül attól, hogy a kérelmezők az Európai Unióból vagy máshonnan érkeznek.

Lezárul András herceg hónapok óta zajló botránya és bírósági pere: vádlójával, Virginia Giuffre-vel peren kívüli megállapodást kötött – derült ki egy amerikai körzeti bíróság honlapján.
A felek megegyeztek abban, hogy a herceg „jelentős” adományt juttatt el egy Virginia Giuffre-hez köthető áldozatsegítő szervezetnek – írja a bírósági határozatban David Boies, Virginia Giuffre ügyvédje. Hogy pontosan mennyit fizet, az egyelőre nem derült ki.
Virginia Giuffre azzal vádolta a herceget, hogy három alkalommal is szexuálisan zaklatta őt, amikor még kiskorú, 17 éves volt. A herceg a vádat mindvégig tagadta.
Ettől függetlenül a botrány miatt a herceget már a királyi családban betöltött tisztségeitől és katonai rangjától is megfosztották, miközben szinte mindenki elhatárolódott tőle a brit királyi családon belül és azon kívül is.
Nemrég még úgy volt, hogy a herceg megpróbálhat ellentámadásba lendülni, és bebizonyítani, hogy vádlója maga is nőket futtatott, ezért nem szavahihető. A herceg ügyének előkészítő tárgyalása március 10-én lett volna, ekkor Andrásnak vallomást is kellett volna tennie.
A megegyezésről szóló bírósági dokumentumban most azt is rögzítették, hogy András herceg „sosem akart ártani Virginia Giuffre-nek”, valamint hogy a herceg is elismerte, hogy a nő visszaélés áldozata volt, valamint hogy a nyilvánosság előtt is igaztalanul vádolták.
A dokumentumban ezután azt írták, hogy a herceg „mélységesen megbánta” a Jeffrey Epsteinnel való együttműködést, és ennek jeléül jelentős összeget adományoz annak az egyesületnek, amely a szexkereskedelem ellen küzd és az áldozatain igyekszik segíteni. András herceg ezenkívül elismerte Virginia Giuffre és a többi áldozat bátorságát is, „akik ki mertek állni magukért és másokért”.
Virginia Giuffre korábban egyébként Jeffrey Epsteinnel is kötött egy ötszázezer dolláros, ehhez hasonló megállapodást.
A herceg jogi képviselői a BBC megkeresésére közölték, hogy az ügyet ezzel lezártnak tekintik, a továbbiakban nem kívánják kommentálni. David Boies, Virginia Giuffre ügyvédje mindeközben azt mondta a PA hírügynökség megkeresésére: úgy véli, hogy a megállapodás ténye önmagáért beszél.

A brit belügyminisztérium csütörtökön ismertetett friss adatai szerint több mint 6,4 millió EU-állampolgár folyamodott tartós nagy-britanniai letelepedési engedélyért január végéig. A statisztika a kérelmezők állampolgársági adatait egyelőre a tavalyi harmadik negyedév végéig tartalmazza: eszerint a magyarok által szeptember 30-ig benyújtott kérvények száma megközelítette a 160 ezret.
Nagy-Britannia 2020. január 31-én kilépett az Európai Unióból. Azok az EU-polgárok azonban, akik 2020 végéig, a brit EU-tagság megszűnése (Brexit) után kezdődött 11 hónapos átmeneti időszak lejártáig törvényesen és életvitelszerűen letelepedtek Nagy-Britanniában, továbbra is az országban maradhatnak megszerzett összes jogosultságuk megtartásával, de ehhez meghatározatlan időre szóló tartózkodási engedélyért – hivatalos jogi elnevezéssel letelepedett státusért – kell folyamodniuk. Ennek határideje elvileg tavaly június 30-án lejárt.
A brit kormány azonban továbbra is folyamatosan biztatja a jogosultakat arra, hogy mindenképpen adják be folyamodványukat, mert a hatóságok a határidő letelte ellenére befogadják és elbírálják a kritériumoknak megfelelő, jogos letelepedési kérelmeket.
A brit belügyminisztérium csütörtökön ismertetett új összesítése szerint a 27 EU-tagország Nagy-Britanniában élő állampolgárai közül 2022. január 31-ig 6 441 800-an adták be a letelepedett státusra szóló kérelmüket, és e folyamodványok közül 386 600 érkezett a 2021. június 30-i határidő után. Január utolsó napjáig a folyamodványok közül 6 126 500-at bíráltak el; 681 600-at a tavaly júniusi határidő letelte óta. A csütörtöki tájékoztatás szerint a brit belügyminisztérium a január végéig elbírált folyamodványok 4 százalékát utasította el.
A kérvények 2 százalékát a beterjesztők visszavonták, további 2 százalék valamilyen okból érvénytelen volt.
Azt az adatsort, amely a kérelmezők állampolgárságát is feltünteti, a tavalyi harmadik negyedév végéig tartalmazza a brit belügyminisztérium statisztikája. Ennek alapján 2021. szeptember 30-ig 158 830 magyar állampolgár folyamodott tartós nagy-britanniai letelepedési engedélyért. A lista élén az akkori adatok alapján a románok álltak 1 133 980 letelepedési folyamodvánnyal, őket a lengyelek követték, akik közül 1 124 930-an kértek nagy-britanniai letelepedett státust szeptember végéig.
