Akár öt évig is eltarthat a Fekete-tenger, illetve az Azovi-tenger aknamentesítése – közölte szerdán Dmitro Pletencsuk, az ukrán haditengerészet szóvivője.
„A tengeri összeköttetések és kereskedelmi útvonalak aknamentesítése becslések szerint 3-5 hónapot vehet igénybe, míg az átfogó aknamentesítési művelet 3-5 évet” – mondta Pletencsuk, akit az Ukrajinszka Pravda idézett.
A szóvivő felhívta a figyelmet arra, hogy az aknamentesítési művelet még tervezési fázisban van. Hozzátette ugyanakkor, hogy a művelet főhadiszállását már létrehozták.
A Fekete-tengeren az ukrajnai háború kitörése nyomán helyeztek ki aknákat a konfliktus szereplői. December végén egy Panamában regisztrált gabonaszállító hajó legénységének két tagja sérült meg egy aknarobbanásban közel Ukrajna partjaihoz.

Reznikov megjegyezte, hogy a Todor Tagarev bolgár védelmi miniszterrel folytatott megbeszélésen megvitatták a jövőbeni aknamentesítési projektek lehetőségét a Fekete-tengeren a Bulgáriában és Ukrajnában jelenleg rendelkezésre álló erők és eszközök felhasználásával.
„Sokat beszéltünk a kilátásokról, hiszen közös érdekünk, legalább négy ország érdeke – Ukrajna, Bulgária, Románia, Törökország – a Fekete-tenger biztonságát illetően, mert ez a közös jövő kérdése. Ez a hajózás szabadságának kérdése, a szomszédos országok együttműködésének kérdése annak érdekében, hogy a civilizált világ számára biztosítsuk azokat a lehetőségeket, amelyeket ma mind a négy ország produkál” – mondta Reznyikov.
Todor Tagarev bolgár védelmi miniszter megjegyezte, hogy az aknamentesítés a Bolgár Köztársaság felségvizein található bolgár haditengerészeti erők hosszú távú feladata lesz.

A washingtoni székhelyű Institute for the Study of War (ISW) kutatóközpont legutóbbi jelentésében arról írt, hogy a Fekete-tengeren végrehajtott ukrán dróncsapásoknak is nagy jelentősége van azzal kapcsolatban, hogy a hadsereg szárazföldi offenzívája miként alakul.
A kutatók úgy vélték, hogy a fekete-tengeri támadásoknak is az a célja, hogy megnehezítsék az orosz szárazföldi erők ellátását, és ezzel kedvező körülményeket teremtsenek a támadáshoz. Hasonló célt szolgálhatnak esetenként még azok a dróncsapások is, amelyek Oroszország területén történtek az utóbbi hetekben.

Nem sok esély van arra, hogy Oroszországnak tényleg sikerül blokád alá vonnia a Fekete-tenger felől Ukrajnát – írta legfrissebb jelentésében az Institute for the Study of War (ISW) nevű washingtoni kutatóintézet.
Mint írták, az orosz haditengerészet fokozta az arra irányuló erőfeszítéseit a Fekete-tengeren, hogy ellenőrzés alá vonják az Ukrajnába tartó civil hajókat is. Ezzel együtt szerintük az oroszok azért nem tudják blokád alá vonni a tengert, mert ehhez gyakorlatilag minden teherszállító hajóra tüzet kéne nyitniuk, amely Ukrajnába tart, és nem engedelmeskedik nekik, ami végső soron közvetlen konfliktusba sodorhatná őket a NATO-val.
Az ISW szerint ezt a Kreml nem fogja megkockáztatni, de a fekete-tengeri ellenőrzések fokozásával így is helyezhetnek némi nyomást Ukrajna támogatóira.

A brit hírszerzés szerint a fekete-tengeri orosz flotta arra készül, hogy blokádot von az ukrán kikötők köré – közölték londoni védelmi szakértők szerdán.
A brit védelmi minisztérium szerdai jelentése szerint a Szergej Kotov orosz hajó már a Boszporusz és az odesszai kikötő között járőrözik. A hírszerzési jelentés azt állítja, hogy orosz hajók egy csoportja Ukrajnába tartó kereskedelmi hajókat foghat majd el.
Oroszország a múlt héten nem hosszabbította meg az ukrán gabona tengeri szállítását lehetővé tevő, ENSZ- és török közvetítéssel tavaly létrejött fekete-tengeri gabonakezdeményezést.
A 2022 júliusában Isztambulban aláírt és már kétszer megújított megállapodás lehetővé tette, hogy Ukrajna a gabonáját az orosz blokád ellenére a Fekete-tengeren keresztül exportálja. Az elmúlt évben csaknem 33 millió tonna gabona hagyta el az ukrán kikötőket.
A brit védelmi minisztérium hírszerzési értékelése szerint amíg érvényben volt a megállapodás, „Oroszország általában tartózkodott attól, hogy a dél-ukrajnai kikötők polgári infrastruktúráját támadja. Mivel Oroszország nem újította meg az egyezményt, a Kreml valószínűleg kevésbé érzi magát politikailag korlátozva, és azért próbál célpontokat támadni Odesszában, mert úgy véli, hogy Ukrajna katonai eszközöket tárol ezeken a területeken”.
James Cleverly brit külügyminiszter arra figyelmeztetett hogy „Nagy-Britannia szerint Oroszország az ukrán élelmiszer-export ellehetetlenítése érdekében civil hajókat is megtámadhat a fekete-tengeri térségben”.
