A döntést Gwynne Shotwell szerdán Washingtonban jelentette be, és jóllehet nem részletezte a korlátozás jellegét, elmondta, hogy a Starlink által biztosított technológiát eredetileg sosem offenzív célokra szánták, a megállapodás elsősorban humanitárius célokat szolgált. Mindazonáltal hozzátette: elfogadták, hogy az ukrán hadsereg is igénybe veszi a rendszert kommunikációs célokra.
A technikát viszont az ukrán erők az orosz hadállások elleni dróntámadásokra is felhasználták, ez pedig ellenkezik a vállalat és Kijev között született megállapodással – jelentette ki újságíróknak.
Múlt héten közzétett Twitter-üzenetében Musk maga is leszögezte: nem fogják engedni, hogy az ukrán csapatok nagy hatótávolságú dróncsapásokat hajtsanak végre a technológia segítségével.
Kijev a döntést egyelőre nem kommentálta.
A drónoknak fontos szerepük van a tavaly február óta tartó harcokban, Ukrajna elsősorban az orosz hadállások felderítésére, légitámadásokra, valamint az orosz fél irányából érkező dróncsapások elhárítására használja őket.
Oroszországot ugyanakkor az a bírálat érte, hogy megpróbálja megzavarni a Starlink jeleit. Shotwell ezzel kapcsolatban azt mondta, nem tudják, van-e összefüggés a Starlink szolgáltatásának tavaly év végén tapasztalt akadozása és az orosz próbálkozások között.
Musk már napokkal a háború kezdete után küldött Starlink műholdas vevőegységeket Ukrajnába, és azóta ez a rendszer jelent Ukrajnának alternatív megoldást a mobiltelefontornyok működtetésére, amikor az orosz légicsapások okozta áramkimaradások hosszabb ideig tartanak.
Az üzletember októberben azt mondta, már mintegy 25 ezer terminált helyeztek el Ukrajnában. Megerősítette, hogy az orosz haderők ezt a rendszert is igyekeznek megsemmisíteni, ezért hatalmas erőforrásokat kellett a védelmére fordítani, ennek ellenére a siker nem garantált. Egyúttal arra kérte az amerikai kormányt, hogy vegye át a Starlink műholdhálózat üzemeltetésének költségeit a háború sújtotta kelet-európai országban.

Az orosz Szojuz MSZ-22 szivárgása miatt a NASA úgy döntött, az oroszokkal párhuzamosan egy saját mentőakciót is kidolgoz, hogy a három űrhajóst, Dimitrij Petelint, Szergej Prokopjevet és Frank Rubiot visszahozza a Földre.
December közepén két űrhajós épp rutin űrsétára készült a Nemzetközi Űrállomáson, amikor hűtőfolyadék-szivárgást észleltek az orosz Szojuz MSz-22 űrhajón. A NASA szerint az űrhajósok nincsenek veszélyben, a szivárgó kapszulát pedig jelenleg levegővel hűtik az űrállomás egy nyitott zsilipjén át. A szivárgást egy mikrometeor ütötte lyuk okozza.
A szivárgást azóta sem sikerült kijavítani, ami egyre komolyabb aggodalomra ad okot. A legnagyobb kérdés, hogy a három asztronauta, Dimitrij Petelin, Szergej Prokopjev és Frank Rubio hogyan térnek majd vissza a Földre. Miközben az amerikai NASA és az orosz Roszkoszmosz is elemzik a helyzetet, több lehetőség is előkerült.
Az orosz űrkutatási hivatal által felvázolt B terv úgy hangzik, hogy hazaküldik az üres Szojuzt, majd előrehozzák az eredetileg februárra tervezett újabb indítást. Ennek köszönhetően áprilisban visszatérhetnek az űrhajósok a Földre.
A NASA most azt közölte, tárgyal a SpaceX-szel, hogy szükség esetén hogyan lehetne kimenteni a három asztronautát a Crew Dragon segítségével. A szervezet szerint a normál és a vészhelyzeti kimentésre is kidolgoznak egy-egy forgatókönyvet.
A döntés várhatóan a következő hetekben születik majd meg.

Az igényeltnél kevesebb műhold felbocsátását hagyta jóvá a SpaceX-nek az amerikai Szövetségi Kommunikációs Bizottság (FCC). A szatellitek a mostanság igen leterhelt Starlink műholdas internetszolgáltatás kapacitásait növelik majd, az engedély szerint a tervezettnél kisebb mértékben. A Starlink 2.0 műholdak a SpaceX ígérete szerint a csillagászok munkáját már nem fogják zavarni.
A SpaceX először 2020-ban kért engedélyt az amerikai Szövetségi Kommunikációs Bizottságtól 29 988 második generációs Starlink-műhold fellövésére, az FCC azonban csak most hagyta jóvá ezt – részben legalábbis. Az Engadget szerint ugyanis Elon Musk vállalata csak arra kapott engedélyt, hogy 7500 műholdat építsen, fellőjön és üzemeltessen 525, 530 és 525 kilométeres magasságban.
Ez lehetővé teszi a Starlink számára, hogy a világ távoli részein élő felhasználók számára is szélessávú internetet biztosítson. A műholdak számát azért korlátozta az FCC 7500-ra, hogy eloszlassák az űrszeméttel és az űrbiztonsággal kapcsolatos aggályokat. Állítják: a korlátozott engedély segíteni fogja a biztonságos űrkörnyezet fenntartását, továbbá megvédi a többi műholdas és földi szolgáltatót a káros interferenciától.
Korábban ugyanis több vállalat, sőt maga a NASA is aggodalmát fejezte ki a 30 000 új műhold kapcsán, miután az FCC jóváhagyta 12 000 elsőgenerációs műhold fellövését. A NASA bizottságnak címzett levelében a bővülő számú, Föld körül keringő műholdak lehetséges, a tudományra és az emberi űrutazásokra gyakorolt hatását hangsúlyozta.
Augusztusban a Starlink ígéretet tett arra, hogy a műholdjait a jövőben már nem lehet majd szabad szemmel látni, és ezt orvosolandó három konkrét dolgot is ígértek a második generációs műholdak kapcsán: a napelemcellák ezentúl fehér helyett sötétvörösek lesznek; a berendezések nagyrésze egy kevésbé fényvisszaverő anyaggal lesz bevonva; és ahol ez nem lehetséges, ott sötétebb festéket használnak majd.
Korábban ugyanis a csillagászok nemtetszésüket fejezték ki a műholdakkal kapcsolatban, mivel azok belerondítottak a megfigyeléseikbe. Hogy miként teszik tönkre az éjszakai látványt Musk műholdjai Magyarországon, azt Fejes Zsolt amatőr csillagász is megörökítette 2019-ben.
Jól jöhet a vállalatnak az erőforrás-bővítés, a Starlink a napokban azzal került be a hírekbe, hogy korlátozni kezdi az internetszolgáltatást azoknál, akik egy meghatározott idősávban, csúcsidőben átlépik az 1 TB-os adatkeretet. Emellett az ukránoknak pedig csaknem a duplájára emelkedett a starlinkes internet ára az elmúlt időszakban.

Visszatért a Földre a Nemzetközi Űrállomás négy űrhajósa a SpaceX űrkapszulájával pénteken.
A hazatérést a Floridában uralkodó nedves és szeles időjárás késleltette egy ideig, de a SpaceX és a NASA végül pénteken engedélyt adott az útra, és a három amerikai és egy olasz űrhajós elhagyhatta a Nemzetközi Űrállomást, ahol április óta tartózkodtak.
A kapszula mintegy öt órával később ejtőernyővel zuhant az Atlanti-óceánba, a floridai Jacksonville közelében. A fedélzeten a NASA űrhajósai, Kjell Lindgren, Bob Hines és Jessica Watkins, valamint az Európai Űrügynökség munkatársa, Samantha Cristoforetti tartózkodott. Watkins az első fekete bőrű nő, aki hosszú távú űrrepülést teljesített.
A kijelentkezés előtt az MTI szerint az űrhajósok elmondták, hogy alig várják, hogy jéggel hűtött italokat igyanak, pizzát és fagylaltot egyenek, lezuhanyozzanak, gyönyörködjenek a természetben, és legfőképpen újra találkozzanak a családjukkal. A NASA azt tervezte, hogy Houstonba szállítja őket, amint leszálltak a SpaceX mentőhajójáról és újra szilárd talajt éreznek a lábuk alatt.
A csapat a Reuters szerint 116 millió kilométert megtéve összesen 2720-szor kerülte meg a Földet az űrállomáson, melynek fedélzetére a múlt héten vitte a SpaceX az őket váltó személyzetet.
Az Elon Musk milliárdos befektető által húsz éve alapított SpaceX az amerikai űrkutatási hivatallal (NASA) kötött szerződés alapján biztosítja a Falcon 9 rakétát és a Crew Dragon kapszulát, míg a NASA a felbocsátáshoz szükséges létesítményekkel járul hozzá az űrbeli küldetésekhez. A repülést és a landolást is a SpaceX Los Angeles-i központjából irányították.

A jelentés szerint Musk azt írta: „nagy különbség van a civil kommunikáció és a frontvonalbeli kommunikáció között. A Starlink az egyetlen kommunikációs rendszer, amely még mindig működik a fronton, a többi már döglött. Oroszország aktívan próbálja megölni a Starlinket. A SpaceX a megóvása érdekében hatalmas erőforrásokat fordított a védelemre. De még ebben az esetben is meghalhat a Starlink.”
A milliárdos vállalkozó azt is kifogásolta, hogy a Starlink műholdas kommunikáció Ukrajnában havonta 20 millió dollárba kerül a cégnek. „A terminálok mellett műholdakat és földi állomásokat kell építenünk, indítanunk, karbantartanunk és feltöltenünk, valamint fizetnünk kell a távközlési szolgáltatóknak az átjárókon keresztüli internet-hozzáférésért. Védekezni kell az egyre terjedő kibertámadások és zavarások ellen is” – mutatott rá Elon Musk.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy korábban azt írta, hogy a SpaceX felszólította a Pentagont, hogy finanszírozza a Starlink havi szolgáltatásait Ukrajnában. Felhívásában a cég leszögezte, hogy „további terminálokat nem adományozhat Ukrajnának, és nem finanszírozhatja meghatározatlan ideig a meglévő terminálokat”.

A SpaceX eddig nagyjából 20 ezer Starlink műholdas egységet adományozott Ukrajnának, amely már több mint 80 millió dollárjába került a cégnek, és az év végéig meghaladhatja a 100 millió dollárt is – írta Musk Twitter-bejegyzésében.
A vállalat azonban figyelmeztette a Pentagont, hogy leállíthatja a szolgáltatás finanszírozását, hacsak az amerikai kormányzat nem biztosít havi több tízmillió dolláros segítséget a Starlink működésének fenntartására.
A Pentagonnak küldött szeptemberi levélben a SpaceX közölte, hogy nem tudja tovább finanszírozni a Starlink szolgáltatást – derül ki a CNN által megszerzett dokumentumokból.
A levélben azt is kérték, hogy a Pentagon vegye át a Starlink ukrajnai kormányzati és katonai használatának finanszírozását, amelynek költsége az év hátralévő részében több mint 120 millió dollár, a következő 12 hónapban pedig csaknem 400 millió dollárba kerülhet.
A döntést a SpaceX kormányzati értékesítésért felelős igazgatója azzal indokolta, hogy nincsenek abban a helyzetben, hogy további terminálokat adományozzanak Ukrajnának.
A Pentagonnak küldött dokumentumokban részletesen közlik a több ezer terminállal kapcsolatos költségeket és kifizetéseket. Emellett fény derül benne a kulisszák mögötti megállapodásokra is, amelyek értelmében több millió dollárnyi kommunikációs hardvert és szolgáltatást biztosítottak Ukrajnának, Kijev szempontjából csekély költséggel.
Az elmúlt időszakban többször is üzemzavarokról számoltak be a Starlink működésével kapcsolatban, miközben az ukrajnai csapatok az északi és a déli területek visszafoglalásáért küzdenek. Egyes források szerint a szeptemberi 30-án tapasztalt kiesés a teljes frontvonalat érintette, holott a Starlink az egyetlen módja annak, hogy a harctéren lévő egységek fenntarthassák a kapcsolatot egymással.

A 46 műhold a Falcon 9-en szállt fel az űrbe a kaliforniai Vandenberg űrbázison található 4-es űrkilövő komplexumról (SLC-4E) vasárnap 18:39-kor PT (hétfőn 7:09-kor) , írta a cég a honlapján.
Ez volt a Falcon 9 első szakaszának hatodik indítása és leszállása. Az erősítő a Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich Föld-megfigyelő műholdat, a NASA Double Asteroid Redirection Test küldetését és három Starlink sorozatot is segített felemelni, közölte a SpaceX.

A SpaceX amerikai vállalat űrhajója pénteken útnak indult Floridából a Nemzetközi Űrállomásra (ISS), az első olyan útjára, amelyen csak magánszemélyek tartózkodnak a fedélzeten.
A Crew Dragon űrkapszula három üzletemberrel és veterán űrhajós kísérőjükkel a fedélzeten starolt el. Az űrhajót a floridai Kennedy Űrközpontból indították el, és körülbelül 22 óra alatt jut el az űrben keringő Nemzetközi Űrállomásra.
A houstoni központú Axiom Space , a SpaceX és az amerikai űrkutatási hivatal, a NASA közti együttműködés által létrejött Ax-1 küldetés nagy mérföldkőnek számít a kereskedelmi űrhajózásban: ugyan többször is jártak már civilek az űrállomáson, a Crew Dragon legújabb küldetése azonban az első, ahol csak magánszemélyeket juttat el oda, hogy kutatómunkát végezzenek.
Az asztronautákat – akik fejenként 55 millió dollárt (19 milliárd forintot) fizettek az útért – Michael López-Alegría, a NASA korábbi űrhajósa kíséri, aki 15 évvel ezelőtt 7 hónapot töltött az ISS-en, azóta az Axiom üzleti fejlesztésért felelős alelnöke. A legénységet alkotja továbbá Larry Connor amerikai vállalkozó, akit a küldetés pilótájává képeztek ki, Eytan Stibbe volt katonai pilóta Izraelből, valamint a magyar származású kanadai üzletember, Mark Pathy.
Miután elérték az űrállomást, és a Crew Dragon sikeresen rácsatlakozott az ISS-re, a négytagú csapat 10 napot tölt el az állomáson, ahol az agyat, a szívsejteket, a rákot és az öregedést vizsgáló kutatásokban vesznek részt. Az űrállomáson az ott tartózkodó 3 amerikai, egy német és 3 orosz asztronautához csatlakoznak. Az Ax-1 csapata az ISS-en tartózkodó űrhajósoknak paellát és egyéb spanyol ételeket visz ajándékba.
A Crew Dragon űrkapszula Falcon 9-es hordozórakétája 9 perccel az indulás után visszaérkezett az Atlanti-óceánon úszó platformra.
A pénteki a SpaceX második olyan útja, amelyen magánszemélyeket juttat el az űrbe. A vállalat korábban egy milliárdost és vendégeit vitte fel az űrbe, egy három napig tartó „keringőpályás” utazásra, az Ax-1 küldetés csapata azonban több száz órás képzésen vett részt a NASA és a SpaceX szervezésében, túlmutatva ezzel az űrturizmuson.

Az ukrán egészségügyi intézmények közül már 590 jutott hozzá a SpaceX által gyártott Starlink-internetkapcsolathoz.
A hírt az Egészségügyi Minisztérium közölte.
Elmondásuk szerint a Starlinknek köszönhetően a kórházak folyamatosan elérhetőek és kapcsolatot tudnak teremteni, ez pedig a háborús helyzet alatt nagyon fontos. Az internetkapcsolat azokon a településeken is működik, ahol ideiglenesen megszakadt a többi kommunikációs kapcsolat.
