Makszim Sztepanov egészségügyi miniszter elmagyarázta, hogy miként szavazhatnak a házi karanténban lévő személyek az október 25-i helyhatósági választásokon. Az ilyen státuszú személyek október 23-ig kell leadják az ehhez szükséges kérvényt.
„Ezeknek a személyeknek a tartózkodási helyükön kell szavazni. Október 23-ig, 20 óráig le kell adniuk egy kérvényt, melyhez csatolni kell az egészségi állapotukat igazoló dokumentumot. Egy román falu vezetőjének olyan férfit választottak, aki néhány nappal a választások előtt elhunyt. Deveselu lakói a sírjánál ünnepelték meg a választási győzelmet – adta hírül az APNEWS.
Az 57 éves Ion Aliman polgármesterjelölt tíz nappal a szavazás előtt halt meg, ezért már nem lehetett a nevét leszedni a szavazócéduláról. A férfi hirtelen halt meg a koronavírus szövődményei miatt. Korábban kétszer volt már polgármester.
A vasárnapi választáson a szociáldemokrata párt színeiben indult, a törvény szerint már nem lehetett eltávolítani a nevét és új jelöltet állítani. Az 1700 szavazásra jogosult lakos közül 1020 Alimanra szavazott.
A választások után a falu lakói éjszaka mécsesekkel és gyertyákkal a temetőbe vonultak, hogy Aliman sírjánál gratuláljanak a győzelméhez.
A közeljövőben újabb választást tartanak Deveseluban. A teendőket addig Aliman helyettese intézi.

A másik nagy közösségi médium, a Facebook csütörtökön azt jelentette be, hogy több felhasználói kör – a gyűlöletbeszédet hangoztatók, az erőszakra buzdítók és az orvosi tanácsokat adók – hozzáférését szigorítja meg. Az ukrán kormány hétfői rendkívüli ülésén meghatározta azokat a szabályokat, amelyeket be kell tartani az idei választásokon.
Többek között a szavazókörökben kötelező lesz a választóknak a maszkviselés. A kormány javasolja, hogy a helyiségekbe ne vigyenek be gyermekeket, és lehetőleg saját tollat használjanak a szavazólap kitöltéséhez. Kötelező lesz a kézfertőtlenítés, távolságtartás és testhőmérsékletet is mérnek majd. Rendszeresen fertőtleníteni kell a kilincseket, korlátokat, üléseket és a helyiség padlóját, urnákat. Az önelszigetelésben lévők is szavazhatnak, ha kérésüket előre jelzik. A határozat alapján a hozzájuk házhoz kiérkező bizottsági tagoknak szájmaszkot, gumikesztyűt és védőpajzsot kell viselniük, és minden egyes ilyen látogatás után újakra kell cserélniük a védőfelszereléseket.
A választási bizottságok zavartalan munkája biztosítása érdekében, az önkormányzati választások idejére egy rövid vakációt hirdetnek meg az iskolások számára.
A választási bizottságok többnyire az helyi iskolák helyiségeiben vannak elhelyezve. A bizottsági ülések valamint a szavazatszámlálás problémamentes lebonyolítása érdekében, az önkormányzati választások idejére az iskolásoknak szünidőt hirdetnek Ukrajnában.
Az önkormányzati választások során egy rövid vakációra mehetnek az iskolások, hogy biztosítsák a választási bizottságok munkáját, amelyeket gyakran az iskolák helyiségeiben helyeznek el, közölte Makszim Sztepanov egészségügyi miniszter az újságírókkal való találkozója során, amelyen a helyi választások megrendezésének kérdését vitatták meg a COVID-19 járvány idején. Minderről az Ukrinform újságírója tudósított.
„Úgy gondolom, hogy még néhány napra van szükségünk, hogy mi és a Központi Választási Bizottság kidolgozzuk a részleteket is (a helyi választások megtartására vonatkozó ajánlások – a szerk.).

Az amerikai választásokon idén először van lehetőség ukrán nyelven szavazni – az illinois-i Cook megyében – írja a Jevropejszka pravda.
Cook megyéhez Chicago és annak külvárosai tartoznak, s ez az első olyan terület, mely hozzáadta az ukrán nyelvet a választási folyamathoz. Chicagóban több mint 46 ezer ukrán él.
Az ukrán nyelv minden szakaszban elérhető lesz: mind az elnöki, mind a helyhatósági, mind pedig a Kongresszusba történő választásokon. Ukrán nyelvűek lesznek a szavazólapok, valamint a szavazóhelyiségek elektronikus táblái. Ezenkívül lehetőség lesz hangfelvételen meghallgatni az információt azoknak, akik nem tudnak olvasni.
„A szavazóhelyiségek jelzőtábláit – kijárat, bejárat, milyen irányban kell haladni – szintén ukrán nyelven helyezik ki. Tehát az egész folyamat le lesz fordítva ukrán nyelvre. Ez egy történelmi döntés és hatalmas eredmény az ukrán közösség számára” – mondta el Mila Luhova, az ukrán nyelv Cook megyei védelmezője.
Az ukrán nyelven kívül a választási folyamat 12 nyelven lesz elérhető, közöttük lengyel és orosz nyelven is.
A fordítást hivatalos társaságok készítik el, majd az ukrán aktivisták ellenőrizni fogják azokat, hogy helyesek-e.
Érdekes az a tény, hogy míg Ukrajna nem igazán nyitott a nemzeti kisebbségek felé hasonló kérdésekben, addig – Luhova elmondása szerint – az amerikai politikusok érdekeltek ebben a lehetőségben, hiszen ez hozzáférést biztosít azokhoz az emberekhez, akik nem beszélnek folyékonyan angolul és nem értik a választási folyamatot.
