A jelentés szerint a Fehér Ház március 16-án jelentette be 100 Switchblad-600 drón szállítását Ukrajnának 300 millió dollár értékben. A Simi Valley cég által gyártott új modell 39 kilométert képes repülni, és a támadás előtt 40 percig a levegőben tud maradni.
A harkocsivadász drón kezelője táblagépes tűzvezérlő rendszert használ, és képes manuálisan irányítani a rakétát. A pilóta nélküli repülő szerkezet tömege 54,4 kilogramm. Az eszköz páncéltörő robbanófejjel van felszerelve, amely páncélozott járművek megsemmisítésére vagy hatástalanítására szolgál.

Viktor Mikita, a megyei katonai adminisztráció vezetője elmondta, hogy 18 speciális mobil házról van szó, amelyek bármilyen körülmények között átmeneti szállást tudnak biztosítani az embereknek.
„Ezek a házak percek alatt építhetők fel, gyorsan és egyszerűen szállíthatók, minden szükséges elemmel rendelkeznek ahhoz, hogy a családokat egy bizonyos ideig éljenek bennük” – közölte.
George Pataki elmondása szerint az ilyen házakat az Egyesült Államokban arra használták, hogy természeti katasztrófák után lakhatást biztosítsanak embereknek.

Az amerikaiak 69 százaléka szerint az Egyesült Államok nem jó irányba halad – állapította meg a Morning Consult közvélemény-kutató és a Politico című lap legfrissebb közös felmérése.
A havonta végzett közvélemény-kutatás márciusi eredményei azt jelzik, hogy a megkérdezett amerikaiak kevesebb mint harmada elégedett teljes mértékben az országban zajló folyamatokkal, míg 69 százalékuk szerint Amerika rossz irányba halad.

A nyolc F-16-os vadászgép és a repülőrajt kiszolgáló mintegy 150 katona pénteken érkezett meg az országba.
Az Amerikai Egyesült Államok nemcsak a szárazföldi csapatok ezer katonáját, hanem a légierő egy alakulatát is Romániába vezényelte Németországból. Az F-16-os vadászgépek és a repülőrajt kiszolgáló személyzet pénteken érkezett meg a kelet-romániai Borcea légitámaszpontra – tudatta a román védelmi minisztérium.
Az amerikai F-16-osok mintegy két hétig fognak a román légierő F-16-osaival közös hadgyakorlatokon részt venni, továbbá az olasz légierőnek a Duna-parti bázison tavaly december óta szolgálatot teljesítő alakulatával közösen megerősített légi járőrözési feladatokat látnak el.
Ebben az időszakban az amerikai haditengerészet négy F/A-18-as Super Hornet vadászrepülőgépe és ötven katonája is a Borcea légitámaszponton gyakorlatozik. Az amerikai repülőgépeket a NATO-csapatok együttműködési készségének fejlesztése érdekében küldték a térségbe, a közös járőrözés pedig a reakció- és elrettentő képesség növelését célozza – közölte a román védelmi tárca.
Románián a csütörtökre virradó éjszakától kezdődően több hadifelszerelést szállító katonai konvoj haladt át a fekete-tengeri Kogalniceanu-támaszpont felé, amelyet pénteken Jens Stoltenberg NATO-főtitkár is felkeresett Klaus Iohannis román államfő társaságában.
Az amerikai védelmi minisztérium a múlt héten jelentette be, hogy az orosz-ukrán feszültség miatt mintegy ezer katonát vezényel át Németországból Romániába. A román védelmi minisztérium közlése szerint a Romániában állomásozó NATO-csapatok megerősítésére érkező amerikai katonai kontingens a Task Force Cougar (Puma harci kötelék) nevet viseli, gerincét pedig a németországi Vilseckben állomásozó 2. páncélos lovasezred Stryker harcjárművekkel felszerelt gépkocsizó lövészzászlóalja képezi, amelyet tüzér-, utász- és más támogató alegységek egészítenek ki.

A probléma az, hogy „idegen szennyeződések” miatt az ABS vezérlőmodulja rövidzárlatot okozhat, aminek következtében tűz üthet ki a motortérben. A Hyundai összesen 357 830, míg a Kia 126 747 járművet hív vissza a meghibásodás veszélye miatt.
A kereskedők megvizsgálják és szükség esetén ingyenesen kicserélik a járművek ABS rendszerét, illetve kicserélik azt a biztosítékot is, amely a fékvezérlő egység elektromos áram-ellátottságát szabályozza. Az új biztosíték csökkenti a modulba jutó áram mennyiségét.
Az amerikai közlekedésbiztonsági hivatalhoz benyújtott dokumentumban a Kia azt írta, hogy eddig három olyan járműről tudnak, amelyek kigyulladtak. Azoktól a Kia tulajdonosoktól, akik úgy gondolják, hogy járművük érintett lehet, azt kérik: vegyék fel a kapcsolatot valamelyik Kia márkakereskedéssel, illetve a vállalat ügyfélszolgálati részlegével.

Christine Wormuth, a védelmi minisztérium amerikai hadseregért felelős államtitkára bejelentése szerint megkezdték a koronavírus elleni oltást elutasító amerikai katonák leszerelését.
Az indoklás szerint ez a lépés elengedhetetlen a hadsereg harckészségének fenntartásához. Az intézkedés hatálya a szárazföldi hadsereg aktív állományú és tartalékos tagjaira, valamint a kadétokra terjed ki. Kivételt a jóváhagyott, illetve elbírálás alatt álló felmentéssel rendelkezők képeznek.
A Pentagon 2021 augusztusában rendelte el az oltás kötelezővé tételét az amerikai haderő katonái számára. A különböző fegyvernemekhez tartozó katonák túlnyomó többsége már megkapta a koronavírus elleni vakcinák legalább első adagját. Hetvenkilenc amerikai katona hunyt el a koronavírus-fertőzés szövődményeiben.
„A hadsereg készültsége nagyban függ a katonák azon képességétől, hogy gyakorlatozni, mozgósítani, harcolni tudjanak és megnyerjék országunk háborúit” – jelentette ki Christine Wormuth államtitkár.
„A nem beoltott katonák kockázatot jelentenek a haderőre és veszélyeztetik a harckészültséget” – fűzte hozzá a tisztségviselő. A többi amerikai haderőnem, így a légierő is már megkezdte a felmentéssel nem rendelkező katonák leszerelését.
