A felmérés szerint a válaszadók 41%-a támogatja, hogy Oroszország folytassa hadműveleteit Ukrajnában. 53%-uk azt nyilatkozta, hogy Oroszországnak béketárgyalásokat kell kezdeni.

Az ukránul holodomornak, éhínségnek nevezett történelmi időszakhoz hasonlította a mai ukrajnai lakosság helyzetét Ferenc pápa szerdán az általános audiencián elmondott beszédében.
A katolikus egyházfő arra kérte az audiencián résztvevőket: imádkozzanak azért, hogy vége legyen minden háborúnak a világon, kiváltképpen a „szeretett és mártír ukrán nép borzalmas szenvedései” enyhüljenek.
A pápa emlékeztetett arra, hogy szombaton lesz az 1932–33-as borzalmas népirtás, a holodomor évfordulója. Felidézte, hogy a mesterségesen, éheztetéssel előidézett népirtást Sztálin vitte véghez szerte a Szovjetunióban, különösen Ukrajnában.
Az egyházfő imára szólított fel a „genocídium áldozataiért és a számos ukránért, gyermekekért, nőkért, idősekért, akik ma szenvedik el az agresszió mártíromságát”.
A kijevi parlament 2006. november 28-án fogadta el a törvényt, amellyel az éhínség éveit az ukrán nép ellen elkövetett népirtásnak nyilvánította.

Az ukrán városok elleni hatalmas szerdai orosz rakétatámadás nemcsak áramszünetekhez vezetett az ország legtöbb régiójában, hanem az internetes forgalom visszaeséséhez is, mert a bázisállomások és a vezetékes internet-szolgáltatók generátorra váltottak, ami túlterhelést okozott – közölte Mihajlo Fedorov digitális átalakítási miniszter a Telegram-csatornáján, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a miniszter azt írta: „az orosz terroristák hatalmas rakétacsapásai miatt az internetes forgalom sok régióban visszaesett. Vészhelyzeti áramlekapcsolások vannak. A bázisállomások és a vezetékes internet-szolgáltatók lehetőség szerint generátorra váltottak. A mobilszolgáltatók, ahol a tornyok működnek, túlterheltek a forgalommal.”
De mint a tárcavezető jelezte, a Digitális Átalakítás Minisztériumának csapata központilag segíti a gázolaj szállításának megszervezését és egyéb üzemeltetési feladatok megoldását. „Olyan kihívással nézünk szembe, amelyet még egyetlen ország sem látott a távközlés területén. Ahogy más területeken is. Leküzdjük. Tisztában vagyunk vele, mit kell tennünk, dolgozunk rajta. És minden újabb támadással erősebbek leszünk, amíg nem győzünk” – hangsúlyozta Mihajlo Fedorov.

Ivano-Frankivszk polgármestere arra kérte a tömbházak lakosait, hogy a téli időszakra költözzenek falvakba, mert az áramszünetekkel kapcsolatos helyzet csak romlani fog.
A közeli falvak lakosait arra kérik, hogy fogadják be a tömbházakban élő nőket és gyerekeket, a város melegedőhelyeket készít a tömbházak lakosainak, azonban ezekben nem fog elférni mindenki.
November 17-én a városban 53 tömbház maradt áram és fűtés nélkül, s azt sem tudták megmondani, mikor tudják visszakapcsolni a szolgáltatásokat.
„Fel kell készülni a legrosszabbra. Arra, hogy napokig, nem pedig órákig nem lesz áram. És ezt komolyan mondom. Van egy kis időnk a felkészülésre. Az előrejelzésem másfél–két hét, hogy felkészüljek a nagyszabású áramszünetekre, ha az ellenség folytatja ezeket a támadásokat” – mondta el.

Erről az American Institute for the Study of War (Háborús Tanulmányok Intézete, ISW) számolt be. Megjegyezték, hogy egyes amerikai és nyugati védelmi tisztviselők „az ellenségeskedés téli lelassulását lehetőségnek tekintik az Oroszország és Ukrajna közötti diplomácia megkezdésére”.
Az ISW szerint az oroszok felszerelése hibás, illetve nem megfelelő a téli időszakra. Véleményük szerint sokkal inkább a felszerelés vagy a lőszer hiánya, és nem a tél lassíthatja majd az orosz előrenyomulást.

Oroszország óriási veszteségeket szenved el az Ukrajna elleni háborúban, tízszerese az ukrán hadsereg veszteségeinek – jelentette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök a CNN-nek adott interjújában.
Az államfő kommentálta a Pentagon kijelentését, miszerint Oroszország tankjai felét vesztette el az Ukrajna elleni háborúban. Véleménye szerint ezek a becslések közel állnak a valósághoz.
„Úgy gondolom, hogy ez többé-kevésbé megfelel a valóságnak, bár őszintén szólva senki sem ismeri a teljes igazságot, többek között a hadsereg lélekszáma tekintetében sem” — mondta Zelenszkij.
Az elnök ugyanakkor megjegyezte, hogy Oroszország vesztesége tízszer akkora, mint Ukrajnáé. Hangsúlyozta: pontos számokat nem tud megnevezni, de „nagyon jelentős az eltérés”.
Zelenszkij hozzátette, hogy az Oroszországi Föderáció vezérkara nem kíméli a katonákat, ezért jóval nagyobbak az oroszok veszteségei.
„Valahányszor tüzérségi vagy páncélozott járműveket kérünk partnereinktől, nem csak fegyverekről van szó, hanem elsősorban hadseregünk védelméről” — mondta az elnök.
Zelenszkij hangsúlyozta, hogy az Egyesült Államok és Európa által biztosított tüzérségi eszközökkel sikerült „megtörni” az orosz katonai offenzívát.
„Megállítottuk őket, területünk nagy részét visszafoglaltuk. És ebben valóban a tüzérség és az új technológiák segítettek”, — tette hozzá Zelenszkij.

Az Oroszországi Föderáció teljes körű inváziója miatt Ukrajna mintegy 15 millió tonnával kevesebb mezőgazdasági terméket exportált, mint amennyit békeidőben tudott volna.
A hírt Tarasz Viszockij, Ukrajna agrárpolitikai és élelmiszerügyi miniszterének első helyettese közölte november 9-én, szerdán.
Az Agrárpolitikai Minisztérium sajtószolgálata szerint a háború alatt Ukrajna több mint 26 millió tonna mezőgazdasági terméket exportált. Ezek gabonafélék, hüvelyesek és olajos növények. Ebből több mint 5,5 millió tonna búza, több mint 10 millió tonna kukorica, 2,4 millió tonna repce, valamint 2 millió tonna olaj- és napraforgómag.
„A legkevesebb export a háború első hónapjaiban volt, majd fokozatosan nőtt. De ebben az időszakban körülbelül 15 millió tonna potenciál veszett el. Békeidőben összesen mintegy 40 millió tonnát tudtunk exportálni” – mondta Viszockij.
