Az Emberi Jogok Európai Bírósága (EJEB) csütörtökön arra kérte Moszkvát, hogy ne végezzen ki két brit katonát, akiket az ukrajnai oroszbarát szakadár hatóságok halálra ítéltek, mert Mariupolban az ukrán hadsereggel harcoltak az Oroszország indította háborúban.
A strasbourgi székhelyű Európa Tanács emberi jogi bírósága június közepén ugyanezzel a kéréssel fordult az orosz vezetéshez egy marokkói katonával kapcsolatban.
Az orosz hatóságok szerint a három férfi – a marokkói Szaaudun Brahim, valamint a brit Shaun Pinner és Aidan Aslin – április közepén adta meg magát, és esett fogságba Mariupol térségében mintegy ezer ukrán katonával együtt. Az önmagát „Donyecki Népköztársaságnak” nevező szakadár terület legfelsőbb bírósága június 9-én halálra ítélte őket.
London a hadviselő felekre vonatkozó genfi konvenció megdöbbentő mértékű megsértésének tartja a két brit ellen hozott halálos ítéletet. Aslin és Pinner a brit külügy szerint nem zsoldos, hanem „személyes okokból” él Ukrajnában, ahová még az Oroszország indította háború előtt költöztek, és ott csatlakoztak az ukrán fegyveres erőkhöz, tehát hadifogolyként kelleni kezelni őket.
„Az EJEB felszólította Moszkvát, hogy ne hajtsa vége a halálbüntetést, és biztosítsa, hogy a foglyok fogva tartási körülményei megfelelőek legyenek” – áll a strasbourgi testület közleményében. A bíróság emellett felkérte a Kremlt: két héten belül adjon tájékoztatást arról, hogy az orosz hatóságok milyen lépéseket és intézkedéseket tettek az emberi jogokról szóló európai egyezmény tiszteletben tartása érdekében. A testület továbbá kitart amellett, hogy Oroszországot továbbra is kötik az EJEB határozatai, annak ellenére, hogy az országot március közepén kizárták az Európa Tanácsból.
Az orosz parlament alsóháza június elején több olyan törvénymódosítást is elfogadott, amelyek alapján Oroszország nem alkalmazza tovább az EJEB március 15-e után hozott határozatait.

A háború első napjától megkezdődött a média képviselőinek akkreditációja Kárpátalján.
„A megyei katonai közigazgatás az elsők között indította el Ukrajnában a speciális sajtókártyák kiadását, amelyek megkönnyítik a médiában dolgozók munkáját, elősegítik a jobb kommunikációt és a lakosság gyors tájékoztatását” – közölte Roman Moldavcsuk, a megyei katonai adminisztráció információs és a PR osztályának vezetője.
Elmondása szerint Kárpátalján már 313 médiaszakértőt akkreditáltak, közülük 162-en az USA, Nagy-Britannia, Lengyelország, Görögország, Japán, Franciaország, Portugália, Belgium, Szerbia és más országok vezető hírügynökségeit képviselik.
Az akkreditáció során az újságírók tájékoztatást kapnak arról, hogy a hadiállapot ideje alatt mely információk nem hozhatók nyilvánosságra, valamint tájékoztatják őket a szakmai feladatok ellátásának sajátosságairól ebben az időszakban.
Amennyiben megsértik az előírásokat, az akkreditáció megszüntetéséről és a vonatkozó kártya megsemmisítéséről a megyei katonai adminisztráció dönt.

Megérkeztek Ukrajnába a HIMARS rakéta sorozatvető rendszerek az Egyesült Államok által nyújtott széleskörű katonai támogatásrészeként – jelentette be csütörtökön Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter a Twitteren, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Reznyikov azt írta: „a HIMARS-ok megérkeztek Ukrajnába. Köszönet amerikai kollégámnak és barátomnak, a Pentagon főnökének, III. Lloyd J. Austinnak ezekért az erős eszközökért.” Hozzátette: a nyár forró lesz az orosz megszállók számára. „Néhányuknak pedig az utolsó” – ígérte a védelmi miniszter.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy a HIMARS rakéta sorozatvető rendszer (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System – nagy mobilitású tüzérségi rakétarendszer) egy többfunkciós sorozatvető rakétarendszer. A HIMARS 6 sorozatban kilőhető rakétát vagy egy ballisztikus rakétát szállíthat. Ukrajnában a HIMARS rendszerektől azt remélik, hogy megfordítják a háború menetét, és hozzájárulnak Oroszország súlyos vereségéhez.
A HIMARS rendszereket az Egyesült Államok a 700 millió dolláros katonai támogatáscsomag részeként harangozta be. Eredetileg négy ilyen rendszer küldését tervezték. Kezdetben az amerikaiak politikai feltételként azt szabták Ukrajnának, hogy a HIMARS-okkal nem fogja Oroszország területét lövetni. Ezt cáfolandó, Bridget Brink kijevi amerikai nagykövet kijelentette, hogy az ukránok döntik el, hogy milyen távolságba lőnek a HIMARS-rakétákkal.

A háború végéig Hmeljnickij megyében moratóriumot rendeltek el az orosz nyelvű kulturális termékek bármilyen formában történő nyilvános felhasználására.
Az erről szóló rendeletet a megyei tanács képviselőinek többsége támogatta. A képviselők azt is javasolták, hogy a megyei katonai adminisztráció hozzon létre egy munkacsoportot, amely figyelmeztetné az illetékeseket a moratórium betartására.
A rendelet kezdeményezője Violeta Labazjuk, a megyei tanács elnöke volt, aki elmondta, hogy számos iskola utolsó csengőjén orosz dalok hangzottak el, s ez a jelen helyzetben nem helyes.
