A platformon több propagandaklip is szerepel, amelyek a háborús bűnökkel vádolt orosz katonai magáncéget dicsőítik − számolt be a The Sunday Times. A videókban pénzt is gyűjtenek lőszerre a zsoldosok számára, akiket nemi erőszakkal, kínzással és gyilkosságokkal vádolnak Ukrajnában és más országokban. A klipek egy része még arra is buzdítja a nézőket, hogy csatlakozzanak a félkatonai szervezethez, amelynek tagjai között több tízezer elítélt van oroszországi és afrikai börtönökből.
A csoportot, amely a kelet-ukrajnai Bahmutban a háború legvéresebb csatáját vívja, számos nyugati kormány szankcionálta: az Egyesült Államok „nemzetközi bűnszervezetnek” minősítette, az Egyesült Királyság pedig szankciók által sújtott vezetőjét, Jevgenyij Prigozsint ítélte el.

Az orosz Wagner-csoport volt szakaszvezetője, aki Norvégiában kért menedékjogot, a múlt hónapban Oroszországban a The Guardiannak adott interjújában arról beszélt, hogy féltette az életét.
A 26 éves Andrej Medvegyev elmondta, hogy Ukrajnában szemtanúja volt annak, hogy a saját parancsnokaik által parancsmegtagadással vádolt Wagner-harcosokat − néha párosával − a helyszínen kivégezték.
Mint ahogy arról már korábban beszámoltunk, az orosz Wagner-csoport volt szakaszvezetője elmenekült az egységéből, múlt pénteken hajnali 2 óra előtt átlépte a határt Norvégiába a Pasvikdalen-völgy közelében, ahol a határőrök letartóztatták és őrizetbe vették.
Medvegyev elmondta, hogy egykori egységét többnyire olyan volt foglyok alkotják, akiket „ágyútölteléknek” küldtek a háborúba.

A hírt a CNN közölte, írja a Szlovo i Gyilo.
„Az orosz hadsereg nem tud megbirkózni a háborúval zsoldosok nélkül” – mondta Gabidullin, az egyik volt zsoldosparancsnok. Ezt azzal magyarázta, hogy a „wagneresek” rendelkeznek harci tapasztalattal, tapasztaltabbak, mint a mozgósított állampolgárok.
A Wagner alkalmazottai akár 5000 dollárt is megkereshetnek havonta. Az ukrán védelmi minisztérium egyik magas beosztású forrása szerint bónuszokat is ajánlanak nekik az ukrán tankok vagy egységek megsemmisítéséért.
Az a tény, hogy a „wagnereseket” különféle frontvonalakon alkalmazzák, komoly logisztikai problémákhoz vezetett: a zsoldosok lőszerrel, élelemmel és támogatással való ellátása problémákba ütközött. A katonák panaszkodnak, a vezetőség pedig tapasztalatlan embereket, sőt, elítélteket is elkezdett felvenni soraiba.
