Ukrajnai menekülteket segítő központot hoz létre Budapesten az Ökumenikus Segélyszervezet, a június második felében megnyíló intézményben természetbeni adományokkal látják el a rászorulókat, valamint információs, jogi, integrációs és lelki segítséget is nyújtanak.
Az Ökumenikus Segélyszervezet által közreadott képen Lehel László, az Ökumenikus Segélyszervezet elnök-igazgatója (b) és Liu Shih-chung, a Magyarországi Tajpej Képviseleti Iroda vezetője (j) megállapodást ír alá a segélyszervezet országos központjában Budapesten 2022. május 18-án. A központ megvalósítását a Magyarországi Tajpej Képviseleti Iroda 1,5 millió dollárral támogatja.

Ahhoz, hogy az Ukrajnából Magyarországra érkező bajbajutottakat még hatékonyabban segíthessék, összetett támogatást nyújtó menekültközpontot- hoznak létre Budapest belvárosában.
Ismertették: a tervek szerint június második felében megnyíló központ – miközben természetbeni adományokkal (élelmiszerekkel, higiénés eszközökkel, ruhával, gyermekápolási eszközökkel) látja el a rászorulókat, információs, jogi, integrációs és lelki segítséget is nyújt.

Hozzátették: az oktatáshoz, az egészségügyi ellátáshoz jutás, a munkavállalás elősegítése, valamint a felnőttképzés mellett a gyermekek gondozásában és a nyelvtanulásban is segítenek majd.
A segélyszervezet munkatársai és önkéntesek külön figyelmet fordítanak a kísérő nélküli kiskorúak, a fogyatékkal élők és az idősek támogatására. A felnőtteknek és a gyermekeknek is szerveznek közösségi, illetve közösségépítő szabadidős és szemléletformáló programokat, hangsúlyt helyezve a tehetséggondozásra és a társadalmi integráció elősegítésére is.
A központ megvalósítását a Magyarországi Tajpej Képviseleti Iroda 1,5 millió dollárral támogatja.

Magyarország Ungvári Főkonzulátusán nyílt kiállítás menekült művészeknek a háború borzalmai ihlette műveiből. A kiállításon Marianna Honcsarenko kollázsokkal, Olekszandr Zsilcov golyóstollal készített grafikákkal, Andrij Szidorenko pedig számítógépes grafikákkal van jelen.
A tárlat április 16-i ünnepélyes megnyitóján Bacskai József ungvári magyar főkonzul hangsúlyozta, hogy a főkonzulátus kulturális diplomáciai feladatai közé tartozik, a baráti Ukrajna, Kárpátalja és Magyarország egyedi, gyönyörű, szabadságszerető és lélekkel teli művészeti világának a kölcsönös bemutatása. A idei első képzőművészeti tárlat februári megnyitásakor még nem gondolhatták, hogy Nyugat-Ukrajnában, Kárpátalján, Magyarországon Ukrajna központi és keleti területeiről menekülteket fogunk fogadni, vigasztalni, otthont, fedelet, biztonságot nyújtani az ártatlan asszonyoknak és gyerekeknek. „Soha nem gondoltuk volna, hogy megszokottá válik számunkra a légvédelmi riadók hangja és az elsötétített város. Magyarország nem akarja az Ukrajnai háborút, azt szeretné, hogy a béke minél előbb visszatérjen a térségbe. Magyarország kiáll Ukrajna szuverenitása mellett, mi egyértelműen meg tudjuk különböztetni, hogy ki a támadó és ki a megtámadott. Elítéljük a katonai agressziót Oroszország részéről, és elítéljük az emberi jogok súlyos megsértését, továbbá sürgetjük az elkövetett háborús bűnök azonnali feltárását” – szögezte le a magyar főkonzul, aki hangsúlyozta: „Együttérezve az ukrán néppel, most ezzel a kiállítással szeretnénk tisztelegni a háború és a gyilkolás elől menekülő képzőművészek előtt, akiknek életében és művészetében egyaránt tükröződik a több mint nyolcvan napja tartó agresszív orosz támadás, a pusztítás el nem fogadható, meg nem tapasztalható, halálfélelemmel teli feszült érzése, a menekülő és megsérült gyermekek tekintete, a két szomszédos, egymást támogató nép nehéz sorsa.”
Ukrán részről Olekszandr Bilák, a Kárpátaljai Megyei Katonai Közigazgatás Európai Integrációs és Együttműködési Főosztályának a vezetője mondott köszönetet a főkonzulátusnak a kiállítás megszervezéséért, örömmel konstatálva, hogy végre nem a humanitárius segélyek, a menekültek problémái és a határhelyzet miatt kell találkoznia a magyar diplomatákkal, hanem egy művészeti esemény kapcsán. Afőosztálvezető azon reményének is hangot adott, hogy a kulturális diplomácia talán segíthet a háború megállításában és a két ország közötti vitás kérdések rendezésében.
Köszönetet mondott a kiállítás megszervezéséért a magyar főkonzulátusnak Vaszil Pinzenik, Ungvár alpolgármestere, aki elmondta, hogy a város vezetése mindent megtesz a keleti országrészből érkező menekültekért, ehhez a munkához pedig sok segítséget kapnak Magyarországtól és a főkonzulátustól.
A művészek közül Andrij Szidorenko a háború kartográfiájaként jellemezte műveit, elmondta, hogy Harkivban született, majd Szumi megyében töltötte a gyermekkorát és 15 éve költözött Kijevbe. Számára különösen megrázóak a Harkivról látott háborús felvételek, hisz ő pontosan tudja, hogy hol vannak, a város melyik részén a tudósításokban látott, szétlőtt épületek. Számos emlék köti a rommá lőtt utcákhoz. Az ottani tragédiát igyekezett tükrözni műveiben.
A kiállítás kurátora, Kopriva Attila festőművész, a Kárpátok Művészetéért és Kultúrájáért Egyesület elnöke elmondta: „A kiállító művészek a háború elől menekülve, életükben először jöttek Kárpátaljára. A szívükben sok sérelmet hordoznak, de jellemzi őket a precizitás és az művészet iránti hűség. Műveikkel bemutatják, hogy a művészetnek van ereje, és képes még a háborút is legyőzni. Különböző eszközökkel harcolunk, valaki fegyverrel, valaki pedig ecsettel, esetleg golyóstollal, amivel rengeteg nagyszerű munkát csinált Olekszander Zsilcov. Az ő grafikai jellegű munkái asszociatív formákból eredő, szürrealista jellegű letisztult kompozíciók. Andrij Szidorenko ugyancsak szürrealista jellegű számítógépes grafikáin a lebombázott városok térképei és az emberi test erei vannak ötvözve. Az erek átváltoznak utakká és egy arc, amely átéli a háború borzalmait. Marianna Honcsarenko pedig kollázsokkal mutatja be a háború borzalmait” – emelte ki a kiállítás kurátora.

Elmondta, hogy a Dnyeszter Menti Köztársaságot teljes mértékben Oroszország irányítja, a területen mind orosz, mind pedig helyi katonák is vannak, az ott élő lakosok pedig három személyigazolvánnyal is rendelkeznek: transznisztriaival, orosszal és moldávval.

Az ENSZ Menekültügyi Főbiztossága közölte, hogy több mint 6 millió ember menekült el Ukrajnából a háború miatt, amely a második világháború óta a legsúlyosabb menekültválság Európában.
A hírt a Jevropejszka pravda közölte a Reutersre hivatkozva.
Az adatok szerint február 24. óta legalább 8 millió ukrán állampolgár hagyta el lakóhelyét, közülük 6,03 millió az országhatárt is átlépte.
Több mint 3,3 millió ember, főként nők és gyerekek lépték át a lengyel határt. A lengyel kormány becslései szerint a menekültek nagy része hosszabb ideig is az országban maradhat, ami gondokat okoz a lakáspiac, az iskolák és az egészségügyi rendszer számára.
