Nyolc órával azután, hogy útnak indult a SpaceX Crew Dragon űrhajója a Nemzetközi Űrállomás felé, a földi irányítás felszólt az űrhajósoknak, hogy volna egy kis probléma.
Egy nappal azután, hogy útnak indult a Crew Dragon, a SpaceX űrhajója sikeresen csatlakozott a Nemzetközi Űrállomáshoz, a fedélzetén utazó asztronauták pedig rendben megérkezetek az egység fedélzetére. A dokkolás simán lezajlott, az űrhajósok pedig mostanra már biztonságban vannak, ám voltak igen feszült pillanatok is az utazás közben.
A Gizmodo beszámolója szerint az indulás után 8 órával Sarah Gilles, a SpaceX egyik mérnöke szólt a lefekvéshez készülődő űrhajósoknak, hogy egyelőre még ne menjenek el aludni. A földi irányítás szerint egy űrszemét veszélyes közelségbe kerülhet az űrhajóhoz, veszélyeztetve ezzel annak épségét, ezért Gilles elrendelte, hogy a személyzet tagjai haladéktalanul vegyék fel a szkafanderüket, majd rögzítsék magukat az ülésekbe.
Erre azért volt szükség, mert a mérnökök módosítani akarták a Crew Dragon pályáját, hogy nagyobb távolságba kerüljenek az űrszeméttől. Az űrhajósoknak igen kevés idejük volt a feladat teljesítésére, az űrszemét ugyanis 20 percnyire volt a Crew Dragontól.
A történet végét már ismerjük: az asztronauták biztonságban megérkeztek a Nemzetközi Űrállomás fedélzetére, ugyanakkor az, hogy ilyen módosítást kellett végrehajtani, jól mutatja azt a problémát, amiről az utóbbi években egyre többet lehetett hallani.
Azzal, hogy egyre több műhold kering a bolygó körül, egyre több űrszemét jelent meg felettünk. Ezek komoly problémát okoznak, hiszen mindegyik potenciális veszélyforrás lehet az űrhajók, műholdak számára. Sőt, korábban már az ISS-nek is pályamódosítást kellett végrehajtania egy űrszemét miatt.

A NASA TV videofelvételéről készített képen a SpaceX amerikai űrkutatási magánvállalat Crew Dragon személyszállító űrhajója, fedélzetén Thomas Pesquet francia, Megan McArthur és Shane Kimbrough amerikai, valamint Hoside Akihiko japán űrhajóssal, a Crew-2 küldetés tagjaival közelít a Föld körül keringő Nemzetközi Űrállomáshoz 2021. április 24-én.

Az amerikai űrkutatási hivatal hangsúlyozta, hogy most először használtak “újrahasznosított”, vagyis egy előző űrrepülésnél használt hordozórakétát.
Az Endeavour űrkapszulát pénteken indították egy Falcon 9-es hordozórakétával a floridai Kennedy űrrepülőtérről.
A NASA közölte, hogy az űrhajó az Indiai-óceán felett 425 kilométeres magasságban csatlakozott az ISS-hez.
Ezúttal két amerikai asztronauta, Shane Kimbrough, Megan McArthur, Thomas Pesquet francia és Hoside Akihiko japán űrhajós érkezett az állomásra.
Április 9-én a Jurij Gagarinról elnevezett Szojuz űrhajó csatlakozott az ISS-hez fedélzetén háromfős legénységgel. A Gagarin utasaival, Oleg Novickijjel, és Pjotr Dubrovval, az orosz Roszkoszmosz, valamint az amerikai Mark Vande Heittel együtt az állomáson a SpaceX érkezéséig tíz űrhajós tartózkodik: két orosz kozmonauta, Szergej Rizsikov és Szergej Kugy-Szvercskov, négy amerikai asztronauta, Kathleen Rubens, Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, valamint egy japán űrhajós, Nogucsi Szoicsi.
Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover és Shannon Walker, valamint Nogucsi Szoicsi a tervek szerint április 28-án tér vissza a Földre a SpaceX űrhajójával.

A SpaceX, Elon Musk cége történelmi kilövést hajtott végre: sikeresen fellőtte harmadik, utasokat is szállító rakétáját a NASA-val együttműködésben, s ez az első alkalom, hogy korábban már használt egységekből állították össze a rakétát és asztronautákat szállító kapszulát is – jelenti a Wall Street Journal.
A Falcon 9 névre keresztelt rakéta helyi idő szerint 5 óra 49 perckor szállt fel a Floridában található Kennedy Űrközpontról és várhatóan 24 órán belül eléri a Nemzetközi Űrállomást, ahol a legénység hat hónapot fog eltölteni.
A mostani kilövés több szempontból is mérföldkőnek tekinthető. Egyrészt ez lesz az első alkalom, hogy a SpaceX két űrkapszulát is párhuzamosan tart fent a Nemzetközi Űrállomáson, illetve most először szállítanak külföldi asztronautákat.
A legfontosabb hír azonban az, hogy a kilövéshez használt rakéta és kapszula egy korábbi expedícióról maradt meg, így lényegében újrahasznosították őket.
Ez nagy előrelépés lehet a költségcsökkentés szempontjából, valamint annak érdekében is, hogy a jövőben gazdaságosabbá válhasson az űrutazás, amely Elon Musk egyik régóta hangoztatott szándéka.
A következő ilyen rakétát ősszel tervezi fellőni a SpaceX és a NASA. Annak ellenére, hogy az utóbbi időben többször érte meghibásodás a SpaceX rakétáit, a mostani sikeres misszió új lökést adhat Musk terveinek. Azt már most tudni lehet, hogy a NASA megbízta a SpaceX-t azzal, hogy 2024-ig fejlesszen ki egy új űrkapszulát, amellyel le lehet szállni a Holdon. Ez is jól mutatja azt, hogy a NASA a jövőre nézve szorosabb együttműködést kíván fenntartani magánvállalatokkal az űrtechnológia fejlesztése és gazdaságosabbá tétele céljából.

A NASA választása Elon Musk vállalatára, a SpaceX-re esett, hogy megépítse a következő generációs űrhajót.
A NASA 1972 után most először újra azt tervezi, hogy embert küld a Holdra. Ezzel a céljuk részben egy későbbi Marsraszállás előkészítése. Ehhez a szerződés értelmében a SpaceX fogja legyártani a holdraszállásra alkalmas járművet a 2,9 milliárd dolláros beruházás keretein belül.
Jelenleg Musk vállalata az egyetlen, amely képes amerikai földről asztronautákat kilőni a világűrbe. A NASA döntése, hogy egy magánvállalatra bízza a feladatot, mégis meglepő. Mindig is magáncégekkel működtek együtt, de az a bevett szokás, hogy egyszerre több alvállalkozót vonnak be, versenyeztetik őket, hogy több alternatíva álljon a rendelkezésükre.
A NASA ígérete szerint az Artemis-programnak köszönhetően először fog nő, illetve nem fehér ember a Hold felszínére jutni. A Trump-kormány még 2024-es landolást szeretett volna, de a költségvetés megvágása miatt ez csúszni fog.

Isaacman a maga mellé szóló három jegyet jótékony célra ajánlotta fel, és kijelentette, hogy a jegyek révén 200 millió dollárt (59 milliárd forintot) fog gyűjteni a St. Jude Gyerek Kutatókórház javára, és az egyik jegyet a kórháznak ajánlotta. Februárban bejelentették, hogy a 29 éves Hayley Arceneaux, egy csontrákból gyógyult orvosasszisztens, a kórház egykori páciense biztosan részt vehet a különleges utazáson.
A Földet megkerülő Inspiration4 misszió a SpaceX közlése szerint várhatóan szeptember közepén indul. Ez lesz az első olyan űrutazás, ahol egyik résztvevő sem profi asztronauta. A legénység űrhajós kiképzést kap, sürgősségi vészhelyzeti képzésen, valamint részleges és teljes szimulációkon vesz részt.
A Crew Dragon kapszula 540 kilométeres magasságban fog keringeni a Föld körül, ez 120 kilométerrel magasabb, mint a Nemzetközi Űrállomás (ISS) szintje, és egy szinten van a Hubble Űrteleszkóppal.

Elon Musk cégét bízta meg Ukrajna a Sich 2-1 műholdjának alacsony földi pályára állításával.
Az ukrán Gazdasági Fejlesztési Bizottság egy éve vetette fel a szintén ukrán Juzsmash (Déli Gépgyár) űreszköz gyártó vállalat által fejlesztett Sich 2-1 műhold föld körüli pályára állítását, aminek fellövésére a decemberben indult tárgyalások eredményeképp a SpaceX céggel kötöttek megállapodást. A Sich 2-1 földmegfigyelő műhold feljuttatásához kezdetben 8-12 millió dollárra számított az ukrán gazdasági minisztérium, ám kiderült, ennél jóval kevesebbre lesz szükség.
1 millió dollárért viszi fel a SpaceX Ukrajna Sich 2-1 műholdját
A képviselő szerint ez egy rendkívül gáláns ár Ukrajna számára, nyolcszor alacsonyabb, mint amire a kezdetektől fogva számítottak.
„Annak ellenére, hogy akadályokkal, szkepticizmussal néztünk szembe, és első pillantásra lehetetlennek tűnő feladat volt egy olyan nagyszabású projekt megvalósítása, mint egy műhold elindítása, ma rendkívül boldogan és büszkén jelentem be, hogy messzire sikerült eljutnunk az ügyben, valójában néhány lépésre tartunk a megvalósítástól” – osztotta meg a hírt Dmitro Nataluha a saját Facebook-oldalán.
A műhold elindításához az országnak elő kell készítenie az előleg kifizetéséről szóló iratokat és maradt néhány technikai kérdés, amit meg kell oldaniuk. Ha az illetékes minisztérium mindent időben elvégez, a műhold még az évben, Ukrajna függetlenségének 30. évfordulóján pályára állhat.

143 műholddal a fedélzetén bocsátották fel Floridában vasárnap.A korábbi rekordot egy indiai űrjármű tartotta, mely egyszerre 104 szatellitet állított pályára.
Az új rekord is mutatja, hogy komoly strukturális változás megy végbe az űriparban, ami a korábbinál sokkal több szereplő részvételét teszi lehetővé. A változás a miniatűr, olcsó alkatrészek forradalmának köszönhető, melyek közül sok közvetlenül az okostelefonok és más elektronikus fogyasztási cikkek világából származik. Ez azt jelenti, hogy egyre többek számára elérhető a műholdépítés.
A Falcon a SpaceX tíz saját műholdját is szállította, melyek a globális szélessávú internet biztosítására épülő Starlink telekommunikációs műholdrendszer legújabb darabjai. A sokféle méretű és formájú szatellit közül a San Franciscó-i Planet cég 48-at küldött az űrbe a Falconnal. Az új küldeménnyel már több mint 200-ra nőtt a cég SuperDove-modelljeinek száma, melyek a Föld felszínét fotózzák naponta, 3-5 méteres felbontással. A SuperDove műholdjai akkorák, mint egy cipősdoboz, de a Falcon rakományának többi darabja között voltak kávéfőzőnél alig nagyobb, de puhakötésű könyvnél kisebbek is akadtak.
A nagyobb, utazótáskányi méretű műholdak között számos radart is szállított a Falcon. A radarműholdak hagyományosan több tonnás objektumok voltak, űrbe juttatásuk százmillió dolláros költséget jelentett, ám az új alkatrészek látványosan csökkentették a súlyukat – száz kilogramm alá – és az árukat is.

Megérkezett a Nemzetközi Űrállomásra (ISS) kedden a SpaceX magán társaság első üzemszerűen indított űrhajója, fedélzetén három amerikai és egy japán asztronautával, akik tavaszig dolgoznak majd az űrállomáson.
A NASA Kennedy űrközpontjából, Cape Canaveralből egy nappal korábban felbocsátott Crew Dragon közép-európai idő szerint kedden 05:01-kor kapcsolódott az űrállomáshoz, 27 órás teljesen automatizált repülést követően.
Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover és Shannon Walker amerikai, valamint Nogucsi Szoicsi japán űrhajóst az ISS-en amerikai kollégájuk, Kate Rubins üdvözölte, amikor a két legénység között létrejött az első rádiós kapcsolat.
A Föld fölött körülbelül 400 kilométerrel lebegő űrállomáson jelenleg Szergej Rizsikov és Szergej Kudj-Szvercskov orosz, valamint Kate Rubins dolgozik.
A SpaceX egy évtized alatt kifejlesztett új űrkapszulája idén május végétől augusztus elejéig járt először az űrben két amerikai veterán asztronautával, Robert Behnkennel és Douglas Hurley-vel. Ez volt az első eset az amerikai űrhajózás történetében, hogy a NASA magáncéggel együttműködve indított űrexpedíciót. Az űrsiklók „nyugdíjazása” óta, az elmúlt kilenc évben az amerikai asztronauták orosz űrhajókkal jutottak el az ISS-re.
A NASA és a SpaceX megállapodása szerint a mostanit még öt másik teljes űrmisszió követi 15 hónapon belül, de a vállalat közben űrturisták – például Tom Cruise színész – számára is indít majd „űrkirándulásokat”.

Elon Musk, a Tesla vezérének másik vállalata, a SpaceX nemrég elindította a Starlink nevű műholdas internetszolgáltatás próbaverzióját, amelynek tréfásan azt a nevet adták, hogy „Béta, de jobb mint a semmi” – számolt be az Origo.
A technológiai megoldásban hatalmas lehetőség van, azonban – ahogy erre a cég saját megjegyzése utal – a szolgáltatás egyelőre még valóban instabil és ráadásul drága is.
A felhasználók a kezdetekben másodpercenként 50-150 Mb közötti sebességre számíthatnak 20-40ms késés mellett. A vállalat arra is felhívta a figyelmet, hogy lesznek olyan szakaszok is, amikor egyáltalán nem lesz fogható a szolgáltatás.
Azok, akik tesztelni szeretnék az új technológiát, 499 dolláros egyszerű befizetéssel hozzájuthatnak a kezdő csomaghoz, amelyben különböző eszközöket kapnak ahhoz, hogy könnyen csatlakozzanak a SpaceX műholdjaihoz. Ezt követően 99 dollárt kell majd fizetni havonta.
A Starlink főleg azokra a felhasználókra koncentrál, akik vidéki településeken vagy olyan helyeken élnek, ahol egyik nagyobb internetszolgáltató sincs jelen, így nem férnek hozzá a világhálóhoz. A cég végső célja, hogy egy olyan globális internet hálózatot fejlesszenek ki, amely a műholdak segítségével a világ összes pontját eléri.
A technológiát ellenzők szerint a műholdas internet rendkívüli mértékben megnöveli a Föld körül keringő műholdak számát, ráadásul az űrhulladék is komoly gondot jelenthet és a közelmúltban egyre több tanulmány erősítette meg ezen aggodalmakat.
