Az Egyesült Államok a következő héten megkezdi az ukrán hadsereg kiképzését az M1A1 Abrams tankokon.
A hírt Pet Ryder, a Pentagon hivatalos képviselője közölte.
Egy magas rangú katonai forrás arról számolt be, hogy a héten mintegy 250 ukrán katona érkezik Németországba, hogy részt vegyen a gyakorlatokon. Az ukránok 31 Abrams tankon gyakorlatoznak majd, amelyek május elején érkeztek Németországba.
A Pentagon képviselői szerint újabb tétel páncélozott jármű (31 harckocsi) javítása jelenleg zajlik is az USA-ban, ezeket ősszel szállítják majd Ukrajnába.
A kiképzés körülbelül 10 hétig tart, és a harckocsik irányítására, a csatában való manőverezésre és a felszerelés karbantartására összpontosít.

Az ország hamarosan megkezdi az ukrán pilóták konkrét kiképzési tervének megvitatását.
Dánia nagy erőfeszítéseket tesz az ukrán pilóták kiképzésére. Ezt Troels Lund Poulsen megbízott védelmi miniszter jelentette ki – írja a dán DR.
„Most továbbléphetünk, hogy közös erőfeszítéseket tegyünk az ukrán pilóták átképzésére, hogy immár hosszú távon is használhassák az F–16-os vadászgépeket” – mondta Troels Lund Poulsen.
Egyelőre nem tudni, hol lesz a képzés, de a végső modellnek a következő hónapon belül kell elkészülnie. A pilótaképzés több hónapig tart majd.

A képzési program része az Egyesült Királyság azon elkötelezettségének, hogy támogassa Ukrajnát az Oroszországgal folytatott harcában.
A AS–90 (Artillery System for the 1990s) a Brit Szárazföldi Erők önjáró lövege. 1993-ban rendszeresítették. A löveget a brit Armaments division of Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering (VSLE, 1999-től BAE Systems tulajdonában áll) tervezte és gyártja, mely 179 járművet gyártott le 1992 és 1995 között, 300 millió Font sterling értékben.
