Az ukrán csapatok a nemzetközi joggal összhangban szeretnék visszaküldeni az orosz katonák holttestét a határon túlra – írja az Euronews.
A katonák maradványait egy Kijev melletti létesítménybe szállították, majd hűtőkocsikra rakodják őket. Ukrajna polgári-katonai együttműködési osztályának vezetője szerint bár ezek az átszállítások a nemzetközi protokoll részei, a Kreml nem kérte a holttestek visszaszolgáltatását.
Az orosz megszállók több száz holttestét őrzik itt. Ukrajna területén többvonatnyi ilyen készlet van. Itt tartják őket mindaddig, amíg államközi szinten nem születik döntés e holttestek átadásáról. Az ukrán fél kész holnap vagy akár ma átadni őket. Az orosz fél részéről azonban eddig nem érkezett semmilyen jelzés, hogy átvennék a holttesteket – mondta Volodimir Lyamzin ezredes az ukrán hadseregtől.
Moszkva állítólag figyelmen kívül hagyta a halottak visszaszolgáltatására vonatkozó többszöri felajánlásokat, míg ukrán tisztviselők szerint Oroszország inkább a veszteségek mértékének eltussolásával foglalkozik.
A Kreml azt állítja, hogy mindig visszaviszi a halottait. Március vége óta azonban az oroszok nem közöltek veszteségszámokat, akkor azt állították, hogy az invázió óta 1351 katonájuk halt meg, és 3825 megsebesült.
Pénteken az ukrán hadsereg 26 900 körülire becsülte az orosz halálos áldozatok számát.
Nyugati becslések szerint az orosz hadsereg két és fél hónap alatt több katonát veszített Ukrajnában, mint Afganisztánban a szovjet megszállás egy évtizede alatt, az 1980-as években.

Az Ukrajina Online Telegram oldalán belarusz forrásokra hivatkozva állítják, hogy sugárfertőzött orosz katonákat szállítottak kezelésre a Fehéroroszországban fekvő Homel városába, szúrta ki az Index.
A katonák állítólag a Csernobiltól nyugatra található Vörös-erdőben ásták be magukat, amely a csernobili zóna egyik leginkább radioaktív részének számít. Az erdőben emiatt még mindig nem tanácsos huzamosabb ideig tartózkodni, különösen nem a megfelelő védőfelszerelés nélkül, márpedig a katonák ilyet nem kaptak.
