Meta розглядає можливість повернення Дональда Трампа у Facebook, – пише CNN.
Після облоги Капітолію в січні 2021 року колишньому президенту було заборонено користуватися соцмережами, а термін дворічного бану незабаром закінчиться.
Якщо заборону справді буде скасовано комітетом Meta, створеним для цієї мети, колишній президент може повернутися дуже навіть вчасно, щоб підтримати свою кампанію 2024 року рекламою на Facebook.
Нагадаємо, попередня кампанія Трампа обійшлася Меті дорого: компанія Цукерберга все ще сплачує штрафи, накладені після скандалу з Cambridge Analytica, який тісно пов’язаний з колишнім президентом, хоча судові процеси ще не завершені.
Скандал із Cambridge Analytica спалахнув у 2018 році, але сам злочин стався у 2016 році. Справа отримала особливий розголос через те, що переможець президентських виборів у США Дональд Трамп також користувався послугами компанії, тому зміг донести персоналізовані повідомлення мільйонам американців, чим значно вплинув на остаточний результат голосування. Загалом Cambridge Analytica отримала доступ до всіх даних 87 мільйонів користувачів.
Представники Meta у зв’язку з можливим скасуванням бану заявили: навіть якщо вони приймуть таке рішення, звичайно, вони залишають за собою право знову видалити профіль колишнього президента з платформи в разі повторного порушення правил. Нещодавно Трампу було дозволено повернутися на його сторінку в Twitter, який придбав Ілон Маск, але колишній президент не скористався цією можливістю, оскільки вже деякий час публікував повідомлення виключно на власній платформі соціальних мереж.
До речі, група представників Демократичної партії вимагає зберегти заборону, оскільки вважає, що останні дописи Трампа явно натякають на те, що він незабаром знову порушить принципи Facebook.

Тож @realDonaldTrump знову online, правда після видалення ботів в нього залишилось лише 52,2 млн послідовників, замість 88,7 млн на момент бану.

Цікаво, що Трамп заохочував своїх прихильників проголосувати в цьому опитуванні, хоча сам він припустив, що вже не повертатиметься до Twitter. Поки що нових твітів на акаунті @realDonaldTrump не з’явилося. Останній твіт Трампа перед баном повідомляє що він не братиме участь в Інавгурації президента Байдена, 20 січня 2021 р.
Нагадаємо, Дональд Трамп був дуже активним користувачем Twitter, при цьому, на відміну від багатьох політиків, він вів цей акаунт власноруч. З самого початку свого президенства Трамп активно використовував Twitter як офіційний рупор влади, у тому числі і в зовнішній політиці. На четвертому році президенства Трамп у середньому писав майже 35 твітів на день. Взагалі-то така поведінка Трампа посприяла зростанню популярності платформи серед політиків.
Акаунт Трампа було забанено 8 січня 2021 р. згідно з повідомленням Twitter, «через ризик подальшого підбурювання до насильства». Сталося це через два дні після сумнозвісного штурму Капітолія США 6 січня 2021 р. організованого групою прихильників Дональда Трампа, незадоволених результатами президентських виборів 2020 року. У повідомленні Twitter перед баном йшлось, у тому числі й про можливу повторну атаку на Капітолій, заплановану на 17 січня 2021 р.

Президент США Дональд Трамп заявив у суботу, що його уряд розглядає кілька експертних пропозицій щодо пандемії коронавірусу, серед яких і часткове відновлення фінансової підтримки Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я (ВООЗ), повідомляє The World News.
Через епідемію коронавірусу та конфлікт між США і Китаєм Дональд Трамп
заявив, що Сполучені Штати не готові й надалі здійснювати виплати для ВООЗ,
оскільки організація не відреагувала на ситуацію належним чином.
Хоча багато хто критикував Всесвітню організацію охорони здоров’я за те, що
вона звертала недостатньо уваги на те, що Китай намагався приховати епідемію, а
також запізно відреагувала на спалах, дії Трампа засудили навіть критики.
У неділю Дональд Трамп написав у своєму Twitter, що є можливість виплатити
суму, яка становить 10 відсотків попередньої фінансової підтримки США, але
рішення наразі ще не прийняте.
Президент Сполучених Штатів раніше заявляв, уряд країни займеться вивченням
діяльності спеціалізованої організації охорони здоров’я ООН.
