A NASA Perseverance marsjárója február 18-án landolt a vörös bolygón.

— SpaceX (@SpaceX) August 28, 2024Új korszak a Mars-kutatásban, a forradalmi eszköz megkezdheti kutatómunkáját a vörös bolygón. Hamarosan érkezhetnek a tudományos áttörést jelentő felfedezések, akár a földönkívüli életre is bizonyítékot találhat a legújabb marsjáró – számolt be a Híradó.hu.
Ma este útja kulcspillanatához érkezett a 2020. július 20-án induló Mars 2020 űrszonda.

A misszió részleteit Robert Pappalardo, a projektet vezető tudós ismertette a NASA külső bolygókat értékelő csoportjának (Opag) virtuális tanácskozásán.
Amikor ezek a redukálószerek oxidálószerekkel találkoznak, reakcióba lépnek.

— SpaceX (@SpaceX) August 28, 2024Az Egyesült Arab Emirátusok űrszondája kedden érkezik a vörös bolygóhoz, a kínai űrszonda 24 órával később áll orbitális pályára, a NASA marsjárója, a Perseverance (Kitartás) pedig február 18-án landol.

A harmadik tag Isaacman egyik üzlettársa lesz.

Russia is actively trying to kill Starlink. To safeguard, SpaceX has diverted massive resources towards defense.

A Falcon a SpaceX tíz saját műholdját is szállította, melyek a globális szélessávú internet biztosítására épülő Starlink telekommunikációs műholdrendszer legújabb darabjai. A sokféle méretű és formájú szatellit közül a San Franciscó-i Planet cég 48-at küldött az űrbe a Falconnal.

— SpaceX (@SpaceX) August 28, 2024Repülőgép szárnyai alól indított rakétájával állított pályára műholdakat Richard Branson űrvállalkozása, a Virgin Orbit.
A Virgin csapata már tavaly májusban megpróbálkozott vele, ám akkor a Newton-3 motornak folyékony oxigént szállító rendszer hibája miatt a kísérlet meghiúsult.
Vasárnap a rendszer hibátlanul működött.
Richard Branson 2009 óta keresi azt a technológiát, mellyel betörhetne a műholdiparba, először 2012-ben, a farnborough-i nemzetközi légi kiállításon mutatta be elképzeléseit.

— SpaceX (@SpaceX) August 28, 2024A Tianwen-1 Mars-szonda vasárnap reggel 6 óráig 400 millió kilométert tett meg. A kínai űrkutatási szervezet szerint várhatóan a következő hónapban áll pályára a Mars körül. Amikor a bolygó közelébe érkezik, a teljes repült táv eléri a 470 millió kilométert, és körülbelül 190 millió kilométerre lesz a Földtől.
„A szonda egyre gyorsabban repül, amióta a Nap gravitációja egyre kevésbé hat rá. Jelenlegi sebessége 22 kilométer/másodperc a Földhöz viszonyítva” – mondja Li Zencsai parancsnokhelyettes, a projekt egyik vezetője.
