Újabb botrányos részletek kerültek napvilágra András herceg és Jeffrey Epstein kapcsolatáról. A nemrég nyilvánosságra hozott e-mailek szerint András herceg, immár Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor személyes találkozóra hívta Epsteint még 2010-ben, alig egy évvel azután, hogy a pedofíliáért elítélt pénzembert kiengedték a börtönből.
A két férfit még abban az évben együtt látták a New York-i Central Parkban.
A levelezést egy 2023-as per iratai között hozták nyilvánosságra, amelyet az Egyesült Államok Virgin-szigetei és a JP Morgan bank folytattak Epstein ügyei miatt. A bank végül peren kívül egyezett meg. Virginia Giuffre családja – aki korábban szexuális visszaéléssel vádolta Andrást – most vizsgálatot követel.
Testvére, Sky Roberts szerint „nem elég, hogy megvonták tőle a címeit. Továbbra is szabad emberként járkál. Ki kell vizsgálni az ügyét.”
Egy friss felmérés szerint a britek 79 százaléka támogatja III. Károly király döntését, hogy megvonta öccsétől a hercegi címét, bár sokan úgy vélik, „túl lassan” reagált.
András várhatóan karácsony után hagyja el a Royal Lodge-ot, a királyi család berkshire-i koronabirtokát és a kelet angliai Sandringham-kastélyba költözik.

Ahogy erről beszámoltunk a hirado.hu felületén, az Epstein-botrányban való érintettsége miatt a minap megfosztotta András herceget valamennyi megmaradt címétől III. Károly brit uralkodó (András a yorki hercegi címét már korábban elvesztette, de most a királyi hercegi címtől is megfosztották).
A királyi család londoni hivatala közölte azt is, hogy a folyamat lezárulta után András hivatalos neve Andrew Mountbatten Windsor lesz.
Azt egyébként már hónapokkal ezelőtt lehetett sejteni, hogy a herceg körüli botrányoknak még nincs vége.

Kedden jelent meg Virginia Giuffre memoárja, melyben részletesen kitér a szexuális zaklatásra, mellyel András herceget vádolja. Vasárnap beszámoltunk arról, hogy András herceg 2011-ben arra kérte a rendőrséget, hogy személyes információkat gyűjtsenek Virginia Giuffre-ről, arról a nőről, aki azzal vádolta meg, hogy kamaszkorában szexuálisan zaklatta. A londoni Metropolitan Police közölte, hogy „aktívan vizsgálja” a lapban megjelent állításokat. A Buckingham-palota egyelőre nem reagált a megkeresésre. A nő memoárjából – melynek Nobody’s Girl a címe – kiderül, hogy a herceg Balmoral „őrzött kapui” mögé bújt, hogy elkerülje a bírósági iratok kézbesítését. Ezen túl még „internetes trollokat” is megpróbált felbérelni, hogy zaklassák Giuffre-t – közölte a The Guardian.
Miután ilyen sokáig kétségbe vonták a hitelességemet – András herceg csapata odáig ment, hogy internetes trollokat próbált felbérelni a zaklatásomra –, York hercege is tartozott nekem egy érdemi bocsánatkéréssel – írta a nő, majd hozzátette, hogy vallomást sose kaptak volna, ezért csak egy „általános elismerést” várt volna arról, amin keresztülment.
Giuffre egy egyéves hallgatási záradékba egyezett bele, hogy ne „szennyezze be” a néhai királynő platinajubileumi ünnepségeit.
A nő 2025 áprilisában követett el öngyilkosságot, a Nobody’s Girl című memoárja kedden jelent meg, amely András herceg hivatalos megfosztására irányuló egyre növekvő nyomás közepette jelent meg. A kiadás előtt a herceg múlt hét pénteken bejelentette, hogy a továbbiakban nem fogja használni a hercegi címét, miután évek óta kritika érte viselkedése és a néhai amerikai szexuális bűnözőhöz, Jeffrey Epsteinhez fűződő kapcsolatai miatt.
Könyvében Giuffre megismételte a korábban tett állításait, miszerint három alkalommal kényszerítették szexuális kapcsolatra a herceggel, egyrészt 17 éves korában, másrészt egy orgia során, miután Jeffrey Epstein szexuális bűnöző áldozata lett. András herceg minden vádat tagad.
Arra is kitért Giuffre a memoárban, hogy a herceg a per közben „megpróbált elbújni Balmoralban”, Erzsébet királynő skóciai kastélyának „jól őrzött kapui mögé”.
Azt is elárulta, hogyan hatottak rá a Diana walesi hercegnő halálát övező összeesküvés-elméletek, amikor állítólag arra kényszerítették, hogy lefeküdjön András herceggel Londonban, mert „olyan emberek vették körül, akiknek sokkal nagyobb befolyásuk volt”, mint amilyen neki valaha is lehetett.
„Nem akartam lefeküdni a herceggel, mondtam, de úgy éreztem, muszáj” – írta, hozzátéve, hogy szerinte nincs mód kiszabadulni Epstein és Maxwell szorításából.
Giuffre az utolsó fejezetben ezeket a sorokat írta: „Nem bánom, de az állandó elmesélés és újramesélés rendkívül fájdalmas és kimerítő volt. Ezzel a könyvvel arra törekszem, hogy megszabaduljak a múltamtól. Mostantól bárki, aki tudni akarja, mi történt, leülhet a Nobody’s Girl-lel, és elkezdheti olvasni.”

A 62 éves yorki herceg az emberkereskedelemmel, kerítéssel és pedofíliával vádolt Jeoffrey Epsteinnel ápolt barátságára, és az Epstein-ügyben róla előkerült terhelő bizonyítékokra faragott rá. Koronavírusos viszont nem lehet örökké az ember, hacsak bele nem hal, így András a Térdszalagrend hétfői felvonulásán ott masírozhat családja körében – értesült a People.
Ez azért kínos, mert az eseménynek nem róla, hanem Camilláról, Károly herceg feleségéről kellene szólnia. Camillát ekkor avatják majd a Térdszalagrend tagjává. Ez a világ legrégebbi lovagrendje, csaknem 700 éve alapították. Az avatás előkészületnek tekinthető Camilla királynéi szerepére, amit Károly királlyá koronázása után tölt majd be.

Lezárul András herceg hónapok óta zajló botránya és bírósági pere: vádlójával, Virginia Giuffre-vel peren kívüli megállapodást kötött – derült ki egy amerikai körzeti bíróság honlapján.
A felek megegyeztek abban, hogy a herceg „jelentős” adományt juttatt el egy Virginia Giuffre-hez köthető áldozatsegítő szervezetnek – írja a bírósági határozatban David Boies, Virginia Giuffre ügyvédje. Hogy pontosan mennyit fizet, az egyelőre nem derült ki.
Virginia Giuffre azzal vádolta a herceget, hogy három alkalommal is szexuálisan zaklatta őt, amikor még kiskorú, 17 éves volt. A herceg a vádat mindvégig tagadta.
Ettől függetlenül a botrány miatt a herceget már a királyi családban betöltött tisztségeitől és katonai rangjától is megfosztották, miközben szinte mindenki elhatárolódott tőle a brit királyi családon belül és azon kívül is.
Nemrég még úgy volt, hogy a herceg megpróbálhat ellentámadásba lendülni, és bebizonyítani, hogy vádlója maga is nőket futtatott, ezért nem szavahihető. A herceg ügyének előkészítő tárgyalása március 10-én lett volna, ekkor Andrásnak vallomást is kellett volna tennie.
A megegyezésről szóló bírósági dokumentumban most azt is rögzítették, hogy András herceg „sosem akart ártani Virginia Giuffre-nek”, valamint hogy a herceg is elismerte, hogy a nő visszaélés áldozata volt, valamint hogy a nyilvánosság előtt is igaztalanul vádolták.
A dokumentumban ezután azt írták, hogy a herceg „mélységesen megbánta” a Jeffrey Epsteinnel való együttműködést, és ennek jeléül jelentős összeget adományoz annak az egyesületnek, amely a szexkereskedelem ellen küzd és az áldozatain igyekszik segíteni. András herceg ezenkívül elismerte Virginia Giuffre és a többi áldozat bátorságát is, „akik ki mertek állni magukért és másokért”.
Virginia Giuffre korábban egyébként Jeffrey Epsteinnel is kötött egy ötszázezer dolláros, ehhez hasonló megállapodást.
A herceg jogi képviselői a BBC megkeresésére közölték, hogy az ügyet ezzel lezártnak tekintik, a továbbiakban nem kívánják kommentálni. David Boies, Virginia Giuffre ügyvédje mindeközben azt mondta a PA hírügynökség megkeresésére: úgy véli, hogy a megállapodás ténye önmagáért beszél.

A Juffre indítványával kapcsolatos tárgyalásra a tervek szerint január 4-én kerül sor a New York Déli Kerületi Bíróságán. Őfelsége védője formális okokra hivatkozva kéri a kereset megszüntetését. A herceg képviselői megpróbálják bebizonyítani, hogy az ügyet nem tárgyalhatják Egyesült Államokban, ahol Juffre született és felnőtt, mivel a felperes régen Ausztráliába költözött és életvitelszerűen él ott.
2019 augusztusában Virginia Juffre háromszoros nemi erőszakkal vádolta meg Andrew herceget. Elmondása szerint kénytelen volt szexuális kapcsolatba lépni a herceggel Jeffrey Epstein pénzügyi szakember otthonában, valamint a magánszigetén. Juffre megjegyezte – akkor mindössze 17 éves volt.
