Miután a Fővárosi Nagycirkusz három hónapja több mint száz ukrán artistaművészről gondoskodik, most az Ukrajnában élő cirkuszi állatokat akarja megsegíteni: a lembergi cirkuszba jelentős mennyiségű állateleséget és állatgyógyászati termékeket küldött ki, amelyeket Ukrajna-szerte a rászoruló cirkuszok között osztanak szét.
Az intézmény az Európai Cirkusz Szövetséggel (ECA) és Fédération Mondiale du Cirque-vel karöltve, Kristóf Krisztián Hortobágyi Károly-díjas artistaművész koordinálásával indította útjára a két teherautónyi adományt.
Felidézik, hogy a Fővárosi Nagycirkusz a háború kitörésekor azonnal összefogott az INspirál Cirkuszközponttal, a Baross Imre Artistaképző Intézet Szakgimnáziummal, a Recirquel Társulattal és a Balance Akrobatika&Torna Clubbal, hogy szállást, napi háromszori étkezést, próbalehetőséget és programokat biztosítsanak a Magyarországra menekült vagy átutazóban lévő ukrán artistaművészeknek.
A Fővárosi Nagycirkusz három hónapja több mint száz bajbajutott gyerekről, szülőről, artista tanárról és artista növendékről gondoskodik, akik a kijevi és a harkivi artistaképzőkből érkeztek Magyarországra – áll a közleményben.

„Van idejük megváltoztatni az előadások programját 2021-ig. Sajnálatos számomra az, hogy az ukrán cirkuszok látogatottságának legnagyobb forrása az állatok kizsákmányolása” – mondta el a miniszterhelyettes. Hozzáfűzte, hogy jelenleg is folynak a tárgyalások azokkal a közintézményekkel, ahol befogadják majd a cirkuszi állatokat. Az állatok közül 96 állami tulajdonban van. Az előzetes információk alapján a Feldman Ekopark kész lenne minden állatot befogadni és civilizált körülmények között tartani.
„Egyes idomárok rendelkeznek saját tulajdonban lévő állatokkal. Felkértük őket arra, hogy csatlakozzanak a programhoz, s tárgyaljanak velünk. Az állam nem szándékozik megmondani nekik, hogy miképpen cselekedjenek, azonban biztosítunk számukra lehetőséget” – szögezte le Podoljak.

A minisztérium sajtószolgálata osztotta meg a hírt, miszerint az állami cirkuszok állatait ezentúl ökoparkokban és ökomenhelyeken helyezik el. A civil szervezetnek olyan körülmények között kell elhelyezniük az állatokat, amelyek megfelelnek az egyes fajok követelményeinek, továbbá megfelelő gondoskodásban és állatorvosi ellátásban kell őket részesíteni. Az állatos állapotáról folyamatos nyilvántartást vezetnek majd.
A minisztérium 2020 végéig be szeretné tiltani az állatok cirkuszokban való szerepeltetését. „A minisztériumnak nem csak az az érdeke, hogy betiltsa az állatok szórakoztató programokban való felhasználását, szívügyünk az állatok további sorsa is” – jelentette ki Irina Podoljak miniszterhelyettes.
