Donald Trump amerikai elnököt Nobel-békedíjra jelölik, jelentette be Darrel Issa kongresszusi képviselő, írta a The Hill.
„Ma, március 4-én Donald Trump amerikai elnököt jelölöm a Nobel-békedíjra. Senki sem érdemel ennél többet”, közölte Issa az X közösségi hálón.
Egy későbbi nyilatkozatában Jonathan Wilcox, Issa apparátusának vezetőhelyettese és kommunikációs igazgatója, kiemelte Trump közel-keleti béketörekvéseit.
Issa kongresszusi képviselő a közelmúltban négy közel-keleti országba látogató kongresszusi delegációt vezetett, és személyes és több államfővel való tárgyalás során megfigyelte, hogy a béke szelleme és a konfliktusok feloldása valódi és sokrétű – jegyezte meg Wilcox.
Elmondása szerint Trump megválasztását és beiktatását követően „oly módon inspirálta és mozdította elő a béke ügyét, amiről hosszú évek óta nem hallottunk”.
„A propagandája egy háború nélküli világra vágyik, és azt látjuk, hogy ma a világ több régiójában is felfigyel rá, nem csak egyben”, jelentette ki Wilcox.
